  • Back in May, Emmanuel Macron said he wanted to clear the air and called surprise snap elections. Nine weeks and one hung parliament later, does the naming of France's new centre-right coalition government seal his fate for the history books as a lame duck president whose gamble backfired miserably?

Well this is supposed to happen when parties with ideological differences form alliances just to keep another party away from the governance. Republican front never had common policies so they never won togather.

The real issue here might focus on whether a higher retirement age or lower benefits was the right answer for the Yellow Vests as neither the left and right allowed Macron any practical options. Trump turned into a felon during that time-frame, as we handicap his odds of turning that political tide toward something more popular Similarly, giving the forces of Brexit a shot at conforming to the fiscal standards of the EU was probably Macron's best chance to maintain some "center" that actually states his position. Its all about the money. Aux armes, citoyens!

One way to promote the value of "Law and Order" beyond the abstractions of political speech might be to reconcile the function of police in a community with the need for a military in that nation. The migrants who form such easy fodder for political expedience are also refugees from wars they weren't; responsible for, which implies a need for Justice on the level with the desire for peace as diplomacy is a necessary extension of manners, not powers.
It's also remarkable that the Special Prosecutor for the Federal Indictments against Trump returned to that task from his experience with War Criminals at The Hague, and as we witness genocide in Gaza or Civil War in Ukraine, that the indictments for conspiracy against free elections were handed down by three or four states. The status of grand juries in the context of the "unprecedented" treasons Trump committed, then hid, then lied about publicly, provides a different historical filter on that significance. The French language will likely prove a bridge between Russian and English as Macron's historical legacy emerges from his political fortunes, and French experts or pundits would be wise to watch these legal processes in he US more carefully as Trump brought chaos out of the more natural need for sovereignty for order, not the powers that capital assumes as law in order to dictate finance as a process. Putin's consistent attitude toward tax frauds might also indicate grounds for common sense where the global order needs to find a place in local experience. The Saudi murder of an American journalist (given asylum against claims for extradition) frames this issue more simply in a Turkish embassy. We need to learn more about American and Israeli assasinations as they elevate murder into the status of strategy for reasons still unclear.
