I was in the band. One of the greatest days of my life, and arguably the high point of DEB's career; a sold out show on the same night that Stevie Wonder and Bob Dylan were also playing in London. I'm so glad that someone got it on video! (And by the way, Maxi Priest might have been there, but he didn't perform.)
Was actually at this concert, held at Selhurst Park in the summer of '84.Had won two free tickets in Black Echoes magazine.Black Uhuru with Sly'n Robbie, the Skatalites, Leroy Sibbles, Prince Buster, Aswad...and of course the Crown Prince himself with Lloyd Parkes & We the People. Remember Dennis being the last act onstage. Tore the house down with 'The Promised Land.' Maximum Respect!
@@stevefoster7680 there's a few acts I missed, it's been more than 36 years after all, though am sure you'll be able to enlighten anyone who's fascinated to know the full line-up that day.
its so true this man had such an effect from way back in the 80's i remember going to the dub and from a distant ,you would hear his music and all you could do was to rock and come in. bob marley said it ,he is and was the best reggae artist that grace this earth.jah blessed and carried him home
