I still get nervous at times over the math. The most complicated math in pharmacy is cross multiplication, you can do it! I’ll be coming back soon to help you guys more. Hopefully my videos will help, it’s really not too difficult being a pharmacy technician. I tell all my students that the most difficult part will be your coworkers. I wish you all the best 🥰

Quick couple of questions: For which types of insuling do we calculate priming for, and how much should we usually include for priming? 2 extra units or 3? Thank you for the video! It did make the math for this so much easier then when I tried to figure it out on my own.

Hello I love your videos and I am currently still practicing my day of supply😅. How do you calculate day of supply for insulin with ratios. For instance Humilin in 70-30 vial 10ml?
Hi there, that’s not a ratio. It’s just two different percentages of human insulin. You would still just focus on your milliliters only.
How do you add the priming units?
Do you add or subtract for priming units? Is priming only used on the pen?
I’m sorry, but I’m not a nurse so I’ve never had to do that before.

what if the original rx from doctor states the units to be administered in grams can you go from grams to ml?
