That means from this history Britain looted tones of gold from the Ashantis.
I'm not Ashanti but proud of the Ashanti Kingdom.
Ashanti is not a tribe but a Kingdom that's why the Otumfuo is the only King in Africa ruling over a Kingdom.
All the others are ruling tribes but Ashanti is made up of different tribes.
I'm Akuapem but love Otumfuo soo much due to what I learnt in the British Army about the Ashanti Army strategy and formation.
In the world wars they used those formations to conquer Germany.

Adanse, ahafo etc u mentioned ain’t tribes but CLANS or families
There’s no tribe in ghana known as AHAFO lol
      Ahafos are ASHANTIS lol
When these families or clans who shared a common culture, traditions, dialect and BLOOD comes together, then they form a TRIBE!
The name tribe should even tell u that, it’s made up of more than two clans or families!
One homogenous group with the same blood and dialect is known as a FAMILY OR A CLAN
When two or more of these homogeneous groups related by blood, culture, dialect and traditions comes together, they ceases to be a CLAN OR FAMILY but rather becomes a TRIBE!
      Btw, what’s a tribe?
      .
a social division in a traditional society consisting of families or communities linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties, with a common culture and dialect, typically having a recognized leader.
This is the proper definition of a tribe!!
adansi, oyoko etc were clans or families but when they linked together because of their common dialect, traditions and cultures and related by blood, they FORMED what’s called THE ASHANTI TRIBE with one LEADER!
Because these different clans/families were independent before they came together to form an alliance doesn’t mean the alliance that came out of these clans/families isn’t a tribe!
      Ashanti is a tribe
Read this careful and understand it ok bro

I understand when Osei Tutu went in to hiding it was ANTOA hene who helped to identify his location. Antoahene demanded some demands before leading the delegation. By so doing Antoahene has some privileges where by ANTOA inhabitants were not subjected to death as punishment. Above all Antoahene can absent himself from important meetings without any punishment.

If the first school in Gold Coast was established in Elmina, when was the Presbyterian Primary School in Akropong- Akuapem established? History shows that the first Missionary Society in Gold Coast were the Basel ( Presbyterian) Missionaries and they built the first church and school in Akropong- Akuapem where they settled.

Because people are also saying that many tribes that formed the Asante kingdom was part of Denkyira. Because of internal coup that happened between Ntim Gyakari and Asenso Kuffour who were blood.

i Have Followed Lawyer Anokyes submissions on Asante and it seems according to him, everything Asante did was an advise from somewhere. eg. Nkrumah advise prempeh II to ......, Nzemahene advise Asante .. Nkrumah told Asantehene to do ..... So does it mean Asantes never taught of anything.

We know in history that Asanti was a great kingdom. And even ruled many part of Gold Coast as then Ghana so after the independent this Asanti Kingdom doesn't ruled the country again and we've divided the country into region so every region ve his own power to rule himself. That's why we ve Regional House of Chiefs for every region and ve National House Chiefs also. And again we don't ve any tribe who are ruling Ghana and the language we speak more in Ghana is AKAN. Even in the Europe they're different countries but trying to become one and Ghana one country cannot become one and every day tribal argument. All these won't bring peace and unity to the Ghana we should stop all these because all those stations don't ve nothing to do to help the country. Even the little i know in these history i m better than you.
