When I was at one of the lowest points in my life, In drug rehab only sleeping 3 hours or less a night this one hit the spot. I would make coffee and listen to it on the shitty TV every morning before anybody else got up. Thanks BOC
This is the sound, when you have felt too much and very slowly your soul is shattering and blowing apart in infinite pieces. It’s like with time. Both are revealed in fractions that we perceive and have to let go again.
I have a tear rolling down my face on hearing this. Let's not fuck about, sound doesn't get any more beautiful, hypnotic or spellbinding than this piece. I couldn't erase thoughts of cathedrals and the universe throughout the duration of this.
Right now we are all nearly forced to slow down, or stop altogether, and process in real time how the future will change and what will become "the new normal." BoC tracks like "Slow This Bird Down" and this version of Sherbet Head have become anthems for me in reminding myself that it's important to live in the present, appreciate the little things, and breathe. When I put this on and close my eyes it's as if I'm transported to the middle of a field, lying in tall grass under the Sun, and letting my mind be completely free of any worry.
Strange how the speed can make such a difference to how you hear something. Reminded me of walking along a long beach on the West coast of Scotland and just looking out to sea at the islands in the distance with the rain falling. Took me back to the past for a moment.
Not just slowed down, there's some smoothing that went into those noisy crackles in the original, now they sound like wind or ocean spray, so they may have done something like a Paulstretch. But I love the result
I've had another slowed down BoC song playing in the background for like 20 minutes and felt sooo good and couldn't figure out why till I noticed it was still playing just very softly. So good
Nice combination of the photograph, slowed down music. Reminds me of british summers exploring as kids, looking back on that in your 20’s and seeing something out of the corner of your eye while working in your 30’s. Being quiet and somewhere no one really wants to be taking in the sights and sounds in the grass.
This is actually it. This is the solution to the puzzle presented by the original Sherbet Head. Honestly I always found that that track made less sense in the entire album. Now that I hear it paulstretched out, I really do believe they wanted us to do something like this. This is going into my mix anyway! Great work!
This really turns the original song into a different song......I listen to this probably too much but it's so nice to listen to while gazing......thanks for doing this :)
my cat just rose up through the floor and didn't stop...the bastard just kept on floating. I hope he returns soon....think he may also have . half my sherbert
the michelin man is inspired by the sherbet head, an inter dimensional being that has interacted with humanity throughout its history, mainly during psychotic breaks, revelatory moments of clarity, near death and psychedelic experiences... he is as beautiful and alluring as this track and forever haunts the collective unconscious of our race, as we indeterminately spiral onward, into and out of, "history"...
I wonder where that picture was taken? Nature is trying to take back that building. Man cannot hold back nature for long he has not the physical or mental strength to do so. Nature always wins in the end.
Peter Wilson This old abandoned whiskey distillery in Linfield, Pa called Linfield Industrial Park. I took that picture one day walking around. I thought it was a very fitting image for the track!
@@hexagonsun It is an awesome picture it kind of reminded me of some of the abandoned buildings here in southern Finland. Always fascinates me when nature takes it back. You know flowers in the end come out of concrete and trees grow through buildings. Often the slow plants and trees have power we do not even notice.
I was initially intrigued by the picture as well, it's one of those liminal spaces. Like, where a corpse is found. Like no one is really supposed to be there. Just some random grass patch behind an industrial looking building. Also looks like some places where I went to school, WWU in Bellingham, WA
@@DroolRockworm For me, it reminds me of an area behind the Nokia Campus in Espoo, Finland. There is an area very similar. Or so my brain tells me or it was one summer I walked through there. But that area has changed a lot over the years since the fall of Nokia. www.google.com/maps/search/Nokia+Campus/@60.2244832,24.74613,352a,35y,102.32h,44.87t/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTAwOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
@boondocksaint909 Great idea! DL link not working for me.. :( how would I go about doing this with other tracks and retaining the quality like you have?
Hi there! Any chance you could possibly reupload this file? I actually downloaded Paulstretch and tried to replicate it but I guess I don't know what I'm doing because it sounded really bad.
Hi unfortunately no. I know I have it somewhere but somehow it got buried deep so it's a long shot. paulstretch is hard at first but its pretty simple program you will realize. I messed around with it for an hour and made this, it's not hard. There are plenty of tutorials for paulstretch.

gives me peace.. yet still giving that haunting and creepy feeling.

Weird reminds me of Australia in the summer, I guess it really taps into that nostalgia
...inside the present?
this is the sound of someone on the cusp of genius and insanity... revelation. beautiful, thanks for making this.

I noticed I felt really high even though I'm sober and realized it's because I've had this song running in the background for 15 minutes
I've been listening to this for actually years now, please never remove it!
Why don't you just rip it?
gjones42 It's very soothing, isn't it?

Incredible edit and photo
Now that I opened this on accident, I'm actually getting my homework done. This is the sound of my soul, I swear.

This feels very Geogaddi. Next we need 800x slower reversed BoC tracks
Got reminded of ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’ quite a bit with that sort of hissing sound in the background. Maybe BoC re-sampled this track to make a point.
Passing through time on bulletin waiting fortune
WAY better than at normal speed... incredible! Wish dl link was working tho...
Top class musical time bend dude!
love the picture too

hexagon sun Will do! :)

Band: Hey do you like our new song?
Producer: Sure... but it's a tad bit hectic. Can you make it 800x times slower?
this sounds great. there is a version of Wildlife Analysis slowed down to 800x on you tube as well.
