    Closed my eyes and drifted in a wide space with strange vibrating lines criscrossing it and waves that felt like heat waves but with no heat in them would roll past leaving something fading in their trail. No idea what you are doing but love the result.

    Tasty chips GR-1 or Hologram Microcosm: what would be your choice, if you had to choose?

    Very nice, calm, relaxing and dreamy. I am looking for buying this synth. I am composer too. I compose ambient, emocional music, and I think this synth can be a good chooice for my new set up for live music. Do you recomend me this synth? I am looking a lot videos to be sure for buying. Anyway I think it is a very experimental and inspirational synth. Thanks for your videos, beautiful music.

      Thank you. It’s one of my favourite synths for ambient, highly recommended!

    Is this tasty chips into Microcosm? I am having issues running microcosm after the GR-1.

    This is really nice, is that a hologram to the right? How do you find it with the gr1?
    I'm tempted to add one to my set up but ideally I'd like some hands on time with one before I drop that amount of money

      Thanks! One has to be quite careful with pedals and the GR-1, especially when making ambient or drone, it can get too mushy very quickly, so I often only use a bit of clean reverb to polish things off, and not much of the Microcosm.

      @@ab85music I've been playing around and you can do things akin the to microcosm right on the gr1, if you have a feedback loop running into and interface and the interface plugged into the GR1.
      So you can regranularize the incoming signal on another lane. It's quite interesting

      @@tc-bladeofgrass6719 hey, could you explain this a little bit more detailed, like the routing etc? i just don't get it :D
      also works then "stand alone", no computer in between, right?

    • @tc-bladeofgrass6719
      @tc-bladeofgrass6719 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@grzzl sure, it works without a computer. You need to plug an audio interface into the GR1 by USB, you can then use the input of the audio interface to record audio in the GR1.
      You can also put the GR1 into play mode while it's recording allowing you to granularize incoming Audio in near real time, I say near real time because you need to allow the playback indicator lag a little behind the record indicator to prevent unwanted clocks and things. Have a play around and you'll see what I mean.
      Also, if you're feeling adventurous you can use a mixer with an auxillary send to send some of the GR1 output signal into the input allowing you to create a feedback loop, which if you juggle the levels correctly you can get some nice sounds.
      Let me find a link to a video where I do this

      @@grzzl here, in this video I'm creating a feedback loop, see the red line on the 4th lane moving from left to right, that's the record indicator, I'm playing this through a mixer and controlling how much level is coming back to the GR1 th-cam.com/video/ZzoPtFu_g2c/w-d-xo.html
