For future reference, to remove the roll over valve on top of the fuel tank, just press down and turn 90 degrees. They just use a wave washer and o'ring to seal.
5:41 When taking out the tub, it's best to do an upside down U in the middle & it'll come out easy! You also need to get the front corner infill plate kit so the hard lid doesn't leak water in. They're about $88.50 for the kit & it's metal, or just make your own. Another great video guys. I'll look into getting a Harrop diff hat for my VY S Ls1 ute.
Did you ask where the safety loop has to be ? Some certifiers and race regulations etc are like ie 200mm from union joints Be worth checking for road and race track
Did you guys use braided lines if so we’re they Teflon lines if not that’s where the fuel smell will be coming from as the braided rubber lines let the fuel fumes out easy fix is to use heat shrink on the lines not the best but stops the smell Also why not use nut serts for the tail shaft loop
@@damienhasleby8390 I don’t disagree at all but I’ve also seen a promod car with a tail shaft loop tear the floor to pieces so tailshaft loops are abit overrated in my opinion
Hey boys ive had that cover on my VX clubby and it worked great but i found in my VZ ss ute the nolathane anti tramp bush kit (part NEK5) worked wonders! Good luck!
Could the fact that the pump is so hard to put back in mean that it isn't sealing properly? My uneducated best guess would be the fuel lines letting fuel vapour out though.
Hi guys, entertaining video. Just a bit of safety advice. At 15mins 37 secs, Nathan's welding without wearing gloves. Mig welding gives of dangerous UV radiation. Cancer is not fun. Take a look at "How to die while arc welding at home: the top 5 ways | Auto Expert John Cadogan" He's an Aussie youtuber with a huge amount of knowledge. Just looking out for you guys. Stay safe and play hard.
My VP ute had constant issues with fuel smell from the tank. Would come through the cab via the various chassis holes etc. Turned out the various hoses had become porous. Not so that fuel leaked but vapour certainly did.
Get a magnetic drill very handy price not bad these days.Get a 20mm plate make a frame underneath with wheels extremely versatile 3.6 x 1.4 m .Road plate the go very cheap if your lucky
12.5? How much mph? 120mph+? Need to replace the bushes in the k frame that go to the body. ***please read. It NEEDS Flogged stock suspension, front runners some rear slicks and some big testicles from the driver to launch it 5000rpm +.
G'day guys, Another awesome video. I'm looking forward to drag challenge. Q. With the new diff cover installed, does it require extra oil to fill. ✌️ Peace.
Great work you two
Kicking goals as normal lads!
4:09 It's smelly at the hole. GOLD !!!!!!!!
Flatbar tiger
That diff looks like Optimus Prime's face now!
👍🏻🍺👏
Fuel does a great job of removing RTV silicon, if actually leaking from there you may find the silicon doesn't help.
Prepsol works better
Carby cleaner even better
'Its smelly at the hole' hahahahha
Show us the house extensions

A broken tailshaft would just rip nutserts straight out of the sheetmetal

Haha Nathan's dancing at the end killed it haha. Fingers crossed for the diff living !
slicks will solve all your issues, take some spare drive shafts they are easy as to change at the track.
What's with the blue tape on the driver door?
You need to lunch in second gear on the limiter

Awesome content boys love the way yous feed off each other the banter is so funny 💯
Why was there tape on the driver's door? Keeping it shut 😂
is there a reason you couldn't nut rivet in the loop to take it out easier? Yep I can confirm those diff covers are a paint to line up...
Dam 11.2 I've got some work to do. See you boys next week. 👊

Smell may well be your hoses boys. lot of the older hoses were not completely impermeable. Replace them with teflon, problem will go away.
Congrats to hear Daniel & Josh are able to join you on the journey, to now share the pain.🤩🤩 Keep Safe All
Remember, if all fails, read the instructions

Think Daniel needs to get under the car with a heap of degreaser and a pressure washer!
G'day guys,
