A little tip when spam placing towers: hold shift when you have a tower selected then place it, it should automatically select the tower again to place right away! I just find it a little more convenient than placing a tower one by one.

Those long maps don't cross and the paths don't get close to each other like with the map I used. Anything that spawned in enemies wouldn't have been able to get shot from the back because of this leading into some issues early on
