Am from tunisia and these soldiers save my grandfather twice once from an American assault and the second time he got sick and they brought 2 medics for him, Thank you germans 🥰

As a commander, as a soldier, as a human, of GOD given abilities and virtues, Field Marshall Rommel, was one of Germany's best. Always at the side of his troops.🌴
Well my dear old Dad fought Rommel and the Afrika Korps with a little help from several thousand Australians and other Commonwealth troops.
Fortunately he survived after many attempts to kill him.
Never ever heard him say anything bad about General Rommel . Oh well, Time marches on......

As a footnote, my dear old Dad left comprehensive diaries which line up with regimental history, BUT gives a macabre insight as to what happened to POWs after surrender. Its a full documented account from Gazala to May 12th 1945.
When asked about his diaries and why didn't he release their content, his response was...'I don't think that anybody would be interested '.
Oh yes, I know all about the first siege of Tobruk....

I recall my dad talking about many German parachutist landing in Crete around May 1941. It was the last Airdrop by the Fallschimjagar. I believe there were over 6,000 German casualties. I would not find it surprising that Fallschmjagar troops served in North Africa.

This 'Afrika Korps' anthem, in my humble personal opinion, was dramatically played as accompanying background music in the Acclaimed WW2 documentary by Thames Television in 1972 entitled...' The World at War '
I refer to the episode called 'The desert ' .
Both German and Italian themes are played, its very good.

His first loss (came up after almost two years of war in Africa) at El Alamein. and this was due to the fact that he was under supplied badly. Let's not forget that he sieged Tobruk in numerical inferiority and won. That was a battle for manuals to be taught in military schools.

There was no Fox on a German vehicle, only a palm tree and a Swastika.
That should be German operated vehicle as some Afrika Korps transport was captured British equipment.
