- We're brewing a West Coast IPA and throwing it back to the 80s! Plus, CH from HOMEBREW 4 LIFE & Justing From Jus' Brewing brewed it with us. This is definitely one of the greatest collaborations we've ever done. The recipe for this West Coast IPA packs 105 IBUs and is full of Columbus and Warrior Hops.

I get away with the lean in 5 gallon batches but I am a messy boy and soil a little here and there

As a Dutchman i can confirm that IBU excists in my country, and also it’s European counterpart EBU.
Got one more brew lined up before brewing this! Will be using bottle cultured Bells yeast and fermenting at 64F

When you get really good at brewing, you can just use a huge borosilicate sake bottle, no cooking or anything, just remove the cork here and there to prevent methanol forming.. that's how I do it, although I don't have a borosilicate one yet, just HDPE

Great vid! 3 of my favorite brewing vid producers in one go. I plan on selling my massive three keggle brew tower soon and buying the Clawhammer system. When I do will Jus' and H4L show up to brew with me? If so does that come with the system or is there an ADDITIONAL fee? I guess I'm ok with paying more as long as H4L promises to take another dive during the mandatory thumb wrestling.

How long do you let the grains drain? Also would you rinse them to try get all the sugars?
We get about 70% efficiency so don't ever rinse the grains. Seems like more hassle than it's worth. We typically leave them drain for 10 to 15 minutes
is one packet of yeast enough for this? Big batch and over 1.050 OG...?

We've thoroughly busted that myth. If you leave the lid cracked, you're fine. It's actually better because it increases the intensity of the boil.
