  • Welcome to this ASMR video where we will discuss how you can build your fragrance collection fast and cheap. One notion that I hate is that fragrances are only for the wealthy. This just keeps people out of the community and puts them down. That is not the case. However, just because you don’t need a pot load of money doesn’t mean there isn’t a formula. In this ASMR whispered video, I will explore my own cologne collection and tell you what to do, how to do it, and what I would do if I had to start all over again.

In short, ASMR is stimulated during moments of positive, personal attention (the Context) coupled with a gentle voice, touch, sound, and/or movement (the Triggers).
Context sets the stage for experiencing ASMR. You are most likely to experience ASMR when a helpful and kind person is giving you calm, focused attention. This kind person may be a clinician, teacher, hairdresser, parent, best friend, partner, or even someone you just met. The key aspects of this interaction are that you trust this person, feel safe, and they are doing something helpful or interesting.
Triggers are the specific stimuli that occur during this interaction. These triggers can be the other person’s voice, the sounds they create, their touch, or the way they move their hands. The most important aspect of these triggers is that they are gentle and non-threatening, in other words, they are speaking softly, creating low volume sounds, touching you lightly and appropriately, and moving their hands smoothly, slowly, and predictably.
For the most part, the fragrance community will be mostly pleasant. However, many who are unfamiliar decide to troll these videos instead of taking 2 seconds to look up what ASMR means. Hopefully this helps!

This is the video I’ve been waiting for. Like step by step on how to smell good all the time and not go broke 😂. Thank you for this one my friend it’s quite educational
Edit: I bought both of the versions of Invictus and I think I prefer the EDT to be honest. From what I’ve been told it quite mild but also very gravitating. I appreciate your help 🙏

About a year or so after I started collecting fragrances, you started this channel & it has been an invaluable font of knowledge/information for me. I even picked up a bottle of Tres Nuit per your recommendation & it's been great with the weather where I'm at rn. You explain things very well, perhaps a video breaking down identifying notes & describing them etc? Like how Tonka Bean can be described as either "grassy" or "tobacco almond" & how that portrays itself in the scent overall. Thanks for all your hard work dude, really appreciate what you put out for us.

I have no interest in building a fragrance/cologne collection, but I sure did enjoy listening to you tell us how to do it

I would like to start my collection as quickly as possible but I am not willing to spend more than $300 so I feel like I'm completely locked out of the pursuit.

Understood 100%. Even having 40-50, you can get a couple colognes and build out the collection from there. The 300-400 dollar cologne price points can be very disheartening but that’s not all of them. Just the ones who want to make 290 dollars profit on a 10 dollar cologne.

what are your thoughts on Verace-The Dreamer? I bought it yesterday without testing it first and to my surprise it's quite nice

Mixed feelings. I would call that cologne perfectly unoffensive because it’s so mild I can’t imagine somebody not liking it. It does however have iris and tobacco. Iris is used in a lot of makeup so it makes it smell a little feminine. Tobacco is fairly divisive but it’s not overly prevalent in the fragrance. I like it and I wear it at home but I don’t wear it out. Love the price. Cool to see that it’s made a resurgence! Thanks for watching!
