- If you're new to atWar, then these tips and tricks about the game could be really helpful for you!
Apoc news about me: I'm getting a new computer pretty soon, but for now I'll be using a potato laptop for playing small games like atWar, RotMG, and maybe apoc when I don't run 30 damn FPS lol.
Here: th-cam.com/video/9pZ4qwBR0jI/w-d-xo.html You can see these some of these tactics utilized in varying degrees in a real in-game scenario.
Is there a simpler/faster way to create defense triangles around cities? I often find myself spending an unnecessary amount of time trying to create lines with no large gaps. Sometimes I have to use 4 troops instead of 3 to close a city completely.
Alright so it usually comes with practice that you make them quickly. I typically, if the city is empty, make 2 infantry and 1 militia in the city for the defense line. I manually move one infantry out, leaving one of each still in the city, after that you click and drag on the city and it will automatically move the one infantry out, and the same thing for the militia the second time you do it. There really isn’t a fast way to do defense lines, besides practicing your speed. The gaps in defense lines are usually not a big deal because units cannot pass through a small gap because a unit cannot pass nearby a hostile city or unit, so a small gap in your triangle or other walls usually is not an issue. I hope this helped, and like I said, practicing your speed in building walls will help with cutting down on time.
Actually taught me some stuff I didn't know. Honestly tho I don't know how some guys are just able to gather massive amounts of land in a really short space of time, and just steamroll you later on in the game when you have to face them. I did have an experience kinda like that in one game, but a few of my enemies just gave up before really wearing me down. It was a roman map kind of game, and I had started off as a sort of russian/turk province. Not exactly the best, but I did start conquering and expanding to useful territory. There was this greek force down south, I fought with them a little bit. They left. Well lets skip to the part I remember the fullest. (this was actually quite a while ago) There were three players left. Me who controlled Greece, Anatolia, and most of italy, Britain who controlled the British isles and very rapidly took northern France and the whole of germany, as well as taking north italy (exactly what i'm talking about when people just suddenly out of nowhere conquer huge amounts of land), then spain who controlled hispania, and northern afrika, as well as southern france and some of italy and sicily (both of the islands, I don't know the different names. I was the largest, or well atleast they deemed me the bigger threat, so it was me against the two. At first it kinda seemed like I was losing, They were pushing me out of italy and even getting near, and even taking my capital once. Then I started to push back and take some land back and even took some of their original land. THEN Britain, mine biggest foe and most feared just left outa nowhere. So basically it was me against tiny little spain. I won somewhat easily, he held out pretty good but my superior numbers and economic strength was just too much. Felt so good to win that game tho.
