    yes, very asmr, esp. for us 'mechanics' out there, good to see a wrench turning video, and one step at a time (fantastic for us with asd and visual learners).

    awesome video, I really love what this camera can do. Sorry to bother quite new to this system but how do you release the CBP-5 from the BUD-1 ?

    • @ARRIChannel
      @ARRIChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Magnus, there is a lever on the camera-right side of the camera on the BUD-1 to loosen what ever baseplate or SAM you have attached, so that you can slide it back and forth to adjust the balance. To pull it off completely you have to then move it to the end of sliding range of the BUD-1 and then press and hold the blue safety-release button on the camera-left side of the BUD-1.

      @@ARRIChannel I've been renting and shooting with Arri for the past few years, but first time owning my own an Arri (Alexa 35) and I couldn't figure out how to remove CBP-5 shoulder mount... this is very helpful, thank you 😊

    The camera and accessory design is truly amazing and compact. But as long as there's no LF version, we need to stick with our RED Monstro. Alexa LF is just to big and unhandy for quick handheld to gimbal setups. Greetings from Rosenheim!

    • @ARRIChannel
      @ARRIChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Servus! That's why we make the Mini LF though - the best large format image quality on the market in a tiny package perfect for gimbals :)

      @@ARRIChannel Mini LF is great, but the new Alexa 35 body design is on point! Hope you are already working on a new “LF Camera”. We would buy this camera immediately and give a crate of Flötzinger Spezi on top!

    Recommendations for best electronic and non electronic shoulder rig handles?

    • @ARRIChannel
      @ARRIChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Billy, we manufacture a large array of handles. Master Grips are the best choice for electronic handles, offering you full lens motor control and access to camera user buttons at your fingertips. Our most recent offerings for purely mechanical grips are the Standard Grips for a traditional design, or Bicycle Grip Adapters for access to a huge range of different grip materials. You can view them all here: www.arri.com/en/camera-systems/mechanical-accessories/camera-support-systems/camera-independent-accessories/handgrips-and-shoulder-support

    Does SAS-1 work with CCH-4?

    • @ARRIChannel
      @ARRIChannel  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Daniel, yes it does, and so does the SAS-2 which is the newer version that you can also mount in reverse so that the square rod clamp is underslung beneath a handle extension or the CCH-5.

    I noticed that a lot of high end productions do not use D-Tap on their cameras and instead opt for power distributors. Can someone explain why that is? Is this the industry standard? Why not just power your accessories with something like a D-Tap splitter?

    • @ARRIChannel
      @ARRIChannel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Mike, best practice is to have each device connected to its own power output, rather than running through a splitter, which introduces extra points of failure. The D-Tap standard is ubiquitos, but we prefer to use connectors with metal, grounded housings and locking connectors. Often the accessories connected to our cameras are worth thousands of dollars, we don't believe it's worth the risk to compromise on such a small piece. Plus, we can fit more 2p Lemo or 3p Fischer RS connectors in the same space than we can with D-Tap! -Sean

    • @mikes4459
      @mikes4459 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ARRIChannel Why is it that a lot of power distributors have both 2p Lemo and 3p Fischer instead of all being 2p Lemo or 3p Fischer? My understanding is that 3p Fischer is R/S or a trigger cable. So I guess you can trigger the camera record with some accessories?

    • @ARRIChannel
      @ARRIChannel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're right: 3p Fischer R/S was traditionally used for run/stop, shutter pulse signals (tally) and as a power output, in this case it was typically for 24V output and our cameras still use this connector as a regulated 24V output. 2p Lemo, on the other hand, is for 12V accessories.
