Alex Wyse is one of the 3 selected artists from the 3rd night of Sanremo Giovani. In the end of Sanremo Giovani, only 3 artists will be selected for the Newcomers section of Sanremo Festival 2025. For Sanremo 2025 the rule will be different than the previous year: the Big Artist is the main contest, the Newcomers will be a separate contest but in the same show, with the winner being picked up during the covers night (Friday) of Sanremo 2025. There's another preselection which will give the 4th contestant of the Newcomers section, called AreaSanremo. Sanremo Giovani is managed by Rai, AreaSanremo is managed by the city of Sanremo. Sanremo rules change basically every year, apart from the 3 main ones: brand new song, live performance and Italian language. Being a different contest, this time the Newcomers (apparently) will keep their original songs from Sanremo Giovani in order to extend the promotion of the young artists' songs. So we will listen to the orchestral version of this in February.
