Dani, I love your smile and positive attitude! I wish our GWs were as good here in Central Indiana. My son has worked in the GW collection area for the past few months and tells me that they pull everything that they think is worth anything to put online, so most of what gets put out is junk. But I find a treasure every once in awhile that they missed. I don’t hurt for inventory, so I’m not too bothered. It just makes thrifting at GW more difficult and not as much fun. I love doilies. I use a small one instead of a coaster for my coffee every day. That way I don't have to worry about visiting toddlers hurting themselves with a heavy coaster left on the table.

I had a tea set like that back in '64 or '65.You are rich with those spiny brass sculptures...really cool. You always find the nice mexican pottery. That print is pretty. But some of those prices are too much! Danni, is Tiffany ok? Haven't seen her channel in a minute.

That particular mark on the bottom is notorious for trying to pass themselves off as Limoges. In addition, there are no Limoges manufacturers in China. Just like Murano’s only manufactured in Murano, Italy, Limoges is manufactured in Limoges, France. Therefore, the tea set should be described as “Limoges style” so as not to be confused with the real deal. 👍🏻

Danni, I’m a collector/reseller of Limoges. The little tea set at 11:38 was not authentic but a knock-off. I recognized the marking that gave it away. Not worth much more than $15.00. 🙃 Also, the correct pronunciation of Limoges has two syllables with the “es” silent at the end. Being a collector/reseller of Limoges, I just cringe (sorry) when I hear it mispronounced. 😬

I was surprised you didn’t look at it. If that’s what it was, sometimes it’s hard to tell in the video.. Who knows, it might’ve just been a shiny copper coloured box and that’s why you didn’t take a second look at it. lol
