Paradox is an incredible album. Definitely a suitable follow up to Thresholds (I love The Key as well) and a much better album than Ethereal Tomb. Paradox is the completion of The Key. I hope Nocturnus AD continue to release albums 🤘
I was in a Prison band with Dallas called Cowkill. His vocals sounded exactly like early Morbid Angel, which I remember being shocking to me. He told me he taught Trey how to play guitar cause he was shy and awkward. And that he also wrote a lot of the riffs for the old songs. But Mike says that's not true. I still wonder what the truth is in my mind since the newer material is so different from the old stuff. Totally different style. Even the riffs from Altars to Covenant are completely different, like someone else wrote the stuff. I dunno. I hate not knowing for sure and being lied to. Sometimes all it takes is for 1 member to leave and the band completely changes styles simply due to the vibe between people changing.
You're familiar with many important figures in the industry, which is excellent. This is exactly why I launched the podcast - to hear directly from the musicians themselves about what really happened. I believe we're uncovering the truth. Also, I’m very keen to chat with Dallas if you still chat with him or know how I can contact him.
@@ScarsandGuitarspodcast He got out of prison and gave me his number on Facebook, but i was super busy and i think he went back to jail before i could even get ahold of him. He has or had a facebook though. I'll send you a link to his profile directly from Facebook.
@@ScarsandGuitarspodcast Sent you all the info i have on Facebook. Yeah, he's not doing too good. Hardcore addict, still in prison till next year. Will probably spend the rest of his life there.
Yeah, Mike is a cool guy. Just didn't feel like doing business with him was a good experience. When someone tells me they are only doing one run of a design and then they turn around and distribute it globally, It leaves a bad feeling. "As far as a budget, we are doing this on our own for a new run of shirts, so we don't have a big budget, that is why I hope we can keep it simple and affordable." Virtually every band says the same thing, no matter how popular they are. That sucks out my enthusiasm for doing my best work. I didn't get into art to keep it simple.
