Good timing. I will be setting up my 5.5lb diy co2 system today so I am very excited after seeing that you are satisfied and gave it your seal of approval.
Really nice I have 2 Fzone 2.5L systems and love them. I think they recommend acid first and cover with soda 2nd because you could have a volcano when adding water or at best lose some CO2. I like to chill the water in the fridge to avoid CO2 loss on filling but each to their own. As for the funnel, just cut the top off a soft drinks bottle, makes the perfect wide funnel.Great video, loved it, thanks for sharing.
I've been looking at this system for a long time and thinking to give it a go. thank god I've tried. so much easier to refill. which the main reason i have not tried any co2 system. its one hour drive and i may need to leave the bottle as supplier may not be able to refill it immediately. this system save me the headache lol
It is a good system indeed I have 6 already. And it is much cheeper to maintain and you do not need to have to search for a place where you can refill Co2, only need to buy the products.
Looks like a perfectly fine system. Especially if you don't have a filling service at hand. I have two places within a 30 minutes drive were they'll replace the empty bottle for a full one, where you pay for a bottle once, and then just the refills after that. If I didn't have that, I'd go for this as well.
In my opinion the amount of wasted CO2 is less when using an inline diffuser instead of that head sitting inside the tank, but only if you have external filter of course
You can reduce the residue by using the correct ratio of reactants, 460g of citric acid is enough to react with 600g of baking soda (1:1.3), 140g of citric acid is wasted.

How much liter it is. Also what is the total height after fitting bubble counter. Just want to know whether it fits under my cabin.
Why is it so calming to watch a sweet girl doing this stuff? 😁 Hey, you're amazing. Girl aquarist power 💪
Hi, i guess this is the 4l bottle? Looks so big.
Hi, yes it is :)
If using an external co2 diffuser, it will last even longer
