The first theory is that the journey Subaru is going through intends to take Subaru to experience and associate himself with all sins and take the high road at the end of it all, called the Sage Route or Sage Path Subaru. The second theory implies something similar, but that due to the active presence of the Witch of Envy she influences events and/or Subaru in small ways so that the resulting conclusion in the story entails it being to her benefit in some way, called the Envy Route. It's up to you guys to reflect on what seems most likely or you have even a completely different idea in mind to what is the goal to Subaru in dealing with these events.
It's a shame that the anime removed some really interesting lore revelations from the novels. It would have been really interesting to see you guys talk about it

I love your channel for the season 2 appreciation! As much as most fans do love season 2, the idea that the webnovel is better is kinda widespread. I loved the light novels for this arc when I got them, despite having read webnovel translations of arc 4 a few times. Although the webnovel has extra gore(eg Subaru eating his fingers because of Daphne's eye, an extra death) the Friend episode's light novel(volume 12) hit me way harder than in the webnovel in the days being imprisoned to the point I struggled to continue reading (it's just while the Otto rescue moment was so awesome it was hard to move on from all that pain before). So I think it has all of the emotional impact even with those cuts(it also tightens up some of the surrounding mystery a LOT like I didn't really understand what was going on with the Ryuzu's before and found them more interesting). It's just hard to enjoy things as much while being sucked into what other people like or dislike, and the light novel version specifically doesn't get much love...

Daphne is great. She is fair. Perhaps cruel, but fair. While she created ultimate sources of food, it's also only fair that they themselves have the right to be predators. Nature isn't obligated to be subservient to mankind, they have their right to exist.
I wouldn't call her or any of the beasts fair 😂 mf destroys whole ecosystems. She's cursed with hunger so her worldview is messed up, but she's not exactly evil either. All the witches do things that they think is the "right" and correct thing to do. Except maybe Echidna, she's self aware about being evil.
You agree with an extreme version of survival of the fittest as to how the world should be? Like this isn't some sort of karma to those who eat living beings without thinking about it but culling literally everyone unlucky enough to come across them. Antagonists don't need giant I am simply evil warning labels to be antagonists who should be opposed lol. Daphne herself knows nothing but hunger so she makes the world reflect that as well, she's so absorbed in starvation that she can't even see how it's cruel to create living beings with the same suffering as her, because without anything to compare to she doesn't think it's painful or bad.
Someone altered the re zero world like fr. Echidna said Daphne the WoGluttony made the mabeasts but the people of re zero world said the Witch(Satella) made it...
That's because Talking about the witches other than Satella is taboo so overtime people attributed the mabeasts (ma- meaning "magic, evil, witch-related") to THE Witch which is Satella. It requires no alteration. There is a mystery around how the fuck Daphne knew about Whales when there are no Oceans in this world tho.
Yeah, everything is Satella’s fault as far as the common fok know. This could be because of an Authority (like Gluttony) or just historical misinformation that spread naturally.

Rem, however...
Rights are an invention. They don't exist in nature.
The other witches have mostly been lost to history, so everyone just attributed the creation of the Mabeasts to Satella
Yeah, everything is Satella’s fault as far as the common fok know.
This could be because of an Authority (like Gluttony) or just historical misinformation that spread naturally.

If you watch the anime, don’t read the manga father daughter turns into something something else
Ok, im gonna ask a question that may literally be a huge SPOILER, so if you guys are reading this and don’t want to be Spoiled, don’t open the answers.😅 i hope someone actually answers.
So guys, for you out there manga readers; could the Snake, that Daphne mentioned as the 3rd Ma-Beast, be the already mentioned Dragon ??? 🤯
The Manga hasn’t finished adapting season 2 as far as I know lmao.
(This show is a light novel adaptation)
But to answer your question: no. You see glimpses of the Serpent in Emilia’s trial and what it can do.
The dragon Volcanica is just a whole other beast.
Though there isn’t that much we can say about the Black Serpent, because It hasn’t really made an appearance yet in the novels besides Emilia’s trial.
@@hiiamelecktro4985 oohh, ok ok, thanks a lot for clarifying my doubts and satisfying my curiosity, I didn’t remembered about the serpent in Emlia’s Trial, then it’s actually de Dragon the one we haven’t seen anything about so far right ?
@@DraKeNgg. you can see the black serpent kill Arch in ep 5 of s2p2 around the 20 minute mark. He also straight up says it’s names haha
And yes, we haven’t seen the dragon yet in the anime as far as I know.
The Black Serpent's Venom (Black Water) did make an appearance in the OVA 2 Frozen Bond. But not the serpent itself I believe
