It is an EXCUSE not to do something TODAY to help a poor person. Fact it, if they do become rich, they will keep it for themselves, saying ;"When I have MORE money, I will help the poor." Not one of us can be excused from giving NOW. Not one. Often it is not the value of the gift, or amount of money, that matters, rather the ACT of kindness. It touches their hearts that someone CARES for them. Jesus commended the poor woman who gave out of her poverty. Perfect example for all Christians. Few Christians have discovered this blessing, from my 40 years of experience, sad to say.

I have been in a similar situation it is really tough not having a place to stay sleeping outdoors is scary but sometimes living in a house with people / family is just the same being in danger not knowing what to expect especially when you have small children. It do have good people meeting them is such a blessing. You are a blessing reaching out to people taking the time to listen to what they are going through. Nobody asks how are you like the way you do is a very emotional moment especially when you don't have someone to share what you are going through, willing to help in whatever way you can, and actually giving them what they need not looking at the cost. You give me hope that I can meet someone like you to help me the way you do.
