If you ever somehow see my little message, thank you for the beautiful music. As a soon to be father, who is missing their father who is gone. It reaches a bit deeper for me.
i love this album so much!! there’s so much emotion packed into each song and it’s so beautiful to hear. my family found out that my dad has cancer a few months ago. he’s in the hospital for chemo at the moment, and we can’t go and visit him because of covid restrictions. this song perfectly encapsulates all of my feelings and fears about this situation - that one day he’ll leave for chemotherapy and never come home. as sad as this song is making me - which is absolutely not a bad thing, i love songs that can make me feel emotions like yours can - it’s also a wonderful form of catharsis, to know that someone out there knows how i feel. what i’m trying to say, i guess, is thank you for writing these songs. you guys are an amazing band, and i’m so excited that this album is out!
Such a lovely tune! I came back home to help walk my father out. Taught me the difference between peace maker and peace keeper. The pain then healing caused by returning and leaving everything you thought was right behind will stay with me for all time. 🙏
2:14 "All that I wanted was something to save me / And the carnival’s over, the ashtrays are empty / It’s hardly a place I can look to for safety" I SWEAR this part gives me goosebumps every. single. time. This is one of my absolute favourite tracks of the album, I love how it directly taps into emotions, not only that but a wide range of them, AND an even wider range of nuances & variations (calling out grief here obviously 👀) Thank you for this masterpiece ❤️ It feels like a companion 🫂
Wow. I can't form words. It's not often music can render me speechless. Gang of Youths is one of those bands that consistently does. There aren't words powerful enough to describe what their music does to me
I found this band this morning, they were performing live on the news and I fell in love with the music. It's so fresh and unique 💕❤ now I have new music to listen to 😊
"Made sense in my head, but I'm still the asshole down here nonetheless. In the comedown affray, came to fix what I fucked up today, 'cause the world is not done with me...." Something about this specific set of lyrics always makes me want to cry. It hits somewhere deep in my soul.
Something tells me that I will cry through the whole album. And I'm absolutely ready.
Something tells me you won’t be crying alone 🤩
I'm a blubbering mess. Again. For the zillionth time
There's so much culture and feelings in their songs, that feels like the whole time and space are talking to me and I'm just listening. Oustanding.
I don't know what you're on about but, I'm inclined to agree.
These guys really don't hold back with the raw emotion they infuse in their music.

another one of my favourites from this album!
its simple, I love this song
This has Deepest Sighs, Frankest Shadows vibes, loving it.
Not really. That song is a lot more rock.
Brilliant
Thank you thank you thank you. You’ve expressed how I feel after my suicide attempts. Thank you x

It's good, but I was hoping for more rock, like your previous albums. The Positions is still your best Album, IMO.
