Really enjoy your videos. My husband is from Wisconsin. I can't believe all the stuff that you're finding, but at the end of the year, hopefully, it's going to pay off big. Keep the videos coming.
The round ball is a smudge pot. Filled with oil and used in citrus groves to prevent frost. They also used them on construction sites at night back in the da.
My 6 year old loves your channel. Today he hooked string to a Magnatile and went “magnet fishing” in our yard. So far he’s found a nail, a staple, and a piece of wire. He says he’s going to keep on magnet fishing. ❤
I think it's great that you are cleaning up the waterways in your area. I try not to be shocked at what was thrown into the rivers and lakes over the years. I grew up along the Connecticut River and remember the smell in the summer. The river is now cleaned up. Our industrial age and growth caused a hit to our rivers and streams. Thank you for the continued clean up you are providing.
that round ball with the stem looks like an old marker lantern, it was filled used ah kerosine and used to mark construction sites , they were replaced with battery powered blinking lights. They are usually heavy so they can stay in place when put down
When I was a youngster the town was repaveing the road in front of our house ,I tipped one of those lanterns over and it went out,I tried to relight it,it kinda blue up in my face
23:11 i think that it was an old smug pot(aka also known as a piss pot). It has been use as a symbol in the military for ordinance personnel like EOD and ammo troops. But back in the day i can remember them being used to mark road construction and other dangerous spots on the road before modern ways they use today
Hi Tyler ❤😊WOW…….you found a lot of great things. It just boggles my mind on how much stuff you find. And all different. Thank you for sharing with us. The beautiful scenery. The sunshine. And of course your magnetic personality. I am so surprised that the back end of your boat didn’t sink with all that weight in the cart. Hope you have a great rest of your week. Stay safe my friend 😊❤Paula from Michigan
Tyler thanks for another great video. I love your narration, it makes it so much fun as it’s as much of surprise for me watching the videos as it is for you not knowing what you’re going to pull up. It’s like a river treasure hunt. Thanks for all you do, cleaning up the rivers and have fun in the pool. How are the chickens and garden doing?. Take care and have a great week. 😊
Tyler, the ball thing. I think two things it could be. A smug pot but because you think it weighs 5 pounds or more, smug pots usually only weighed around 1 1/2 pounds even loaded with old oil for the smoke which they produced. The round ( cannon) ball with the round shank i think comes from a ball and hitch combination. By the size of the ball and possible weight i believe it would fit onto the hitch of a 5 or 10 ton truck to hitch a 105mm artillery cannon to. Possibly manufactured during WWII and maybe had a bunch made and the war ended. Surplus ball and hitches probably were dumped into the river. Military didnt need them, contract for them cancelled, no idea to what to sell them to civilian market, dump in river. Write them off on taxes.
That's an awesome spot! I also want to say I enjoyed the E Bike video. I couldn't comment on cause the comments was shut off. It looked like a lot of fun. I've been thinking about getting one. I'm glad you didn't get hurt when you wiped out. Thanks for the videos!
My first tackle box had that stringer 55yrs ago. You are really getting a mixture of items today. COOL cannonball looks live though What a great day you have had, really enjoyed this and an anchor to top it off
It would be cool to see a few videos where you show off some of your more interesting finds after they are cleaned up and/or maybe have some antiques expert do some explanation as to what some of the items are and how old they are!
Awesome as always Tyler I watch all your videos and I’m still amazed at the stuff you constantly find. I blows me away that people throw so much into our rivers and lakes! Thanks for cleaning it up❤❤
20:31 that piece of metal is what they would bolt onto the side of the rails to connect the end of rails together. You were right of it being from the railroads, bro! That cannonball thing to me looks like it's from the old ball-and-chain thing from a prison. Think about that! Another great video!
Around the 19 minute you found what is known as a fish plate. It is used to join 2 pieces of railroad track together. I heard about those from a couple of English magnet fishing groups. 1 is known Peaky Dippers the other is Northrants Magnet Fishing.
Good morning fisher, just had to say I love the history you pull from the river ,for history buffs like me find it amazing think of the battles ,and adventures that has happened on the rivers of our country. I've often thought about getting in to magnet fishing just to find pieces of history and start a museum of river finds
Hey Tyler. Those are torch cuts on all that metal not lazar. I'm glad to see you back out on the boat. I so truely enjoy watching your videos. I look forward to them everyday. I p ray God keeps you safe out and tell Owen hello for me and looking forward to seeing you guys again soon. Fantastic finds. Looks like you are pulling up the whole railroad bridge. Lol. Stay safe and God bless🙏🥰
The round "cannon ball" is a channel marker. Like a buoy that was used to mark what areas to avoid in the river whether due to depth, construction or debris in that area. Thanks for the video I like seeing the notification for your latest post. Stay safe ✌🕯💖
Tyler same as the last knife I could restore for you and I don’t charge 3:48 damn another piece of a prop, it’s just something I like to do to keep my disabled butt busy. If it needs parts I have a source!
That "cannon ball" looked a lot like one of the weights from a "flyball governor" for a big steam engine. Thought at first it might be one of those old kerosene road flare/markers, but didn't see a flat base on it to keep it from rolling around when it was set up on the road.
Am I the only one who feels sad for the zebra mussels? I absolutely love these videos! I think Tyler is the most authentic magnet fisher on TH-cam. You know for sure that he isn't finding planted items. I love that!
My dad had a small 6 inch.piece of narrow gauge track he had in his collection of stuff, then I had it for 30+ years, now my son has it in his tool shed.
The round thing you found is a kerosene hazard marker. You unscrew the "nub" and fill with kerosene. You fit a wick through the bottom of the nub, screw the nub back on with the wick in the kerosene and sticking out of the top, then light. Those usually have a small flat spot on the bottom to be set on the road.
With your knowledge and experience magnet fishing, you should design your own boat specific for magnet fishing and patent that. I'd buy one that you designed!
Save that section of rail. I have one this size from my grandpa he had from the 50’s. You can use for so many things. As an anvil, bending. A press. Really cool find.
22:55 . I'm an honest person. It looks more like a bed knob than a cannon ball. You can literally see where the bed post clamp is sticking out of the top . Like you said in the last 30 seconds of the outro of the video: it has a steped part sticking out that i think u know is for attaching it to the top of a bed post lol 😂. However Tyler if you find out its made of soild copper or brass like most bed knobs indeed are made from then it will deffo have higher scrap value than standard steal. Nice one
@@TheFisher old bed posts and many old items such as including old lawnmowers and old car undercarriages were like a lot of things dude they were Built To Last and so have much more meat and weight to the metal.
Maybe that ball thing is part of when they did the chain gang for prisoners to work making the railways. Not sure but I have seen them with the chains attached & that was similar Great video!
Those are stone chisels and I have all different kinds that are very old. I have some big boulders all over my yard and the previous owner use to hit them mowing. My mower is way too expensive for that so I went around the yard and took the tops off below the grade. No more hitting them!
That piece you found looks like a box with the rivets in it I would spot weld a piece of metal on the back and use it for a planter in my yard that would be cool😊😊
Tyler that long piece of metal before that link piece the metal bar with all the holes in it joins 2 lengths of track together is called in the uk a fish plate i know because i used to drill the holes in them dont know wat you call them in the us
I have a cannon ball they are perfectly round. That peice sticking out of that thing looked like it had a bolt sticking out of it. And you should ask them at your scrap yard if they do short steal. If they do you can make a killing with all of that heavy steal dude.
you know what would be cool, if they added Magnet fishing to say World of Warcraft, imagine it being a whole thing where you could start by throwing from shore, but then upgrade to maybe a boat, and get bigger items. i wonder what is hiding below the waves in azeroth.
Excellent finds today Tyler. I would get that possible device checked by either the police, or the military, just in case. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️🛠🔩🧲.
You should clean up your ''Cannon Ball' .. not long ago I was at a Foundry museum and there was a set of weight lifting objects, one of the sets from 1900s had 2 balls with a bar in between and they looked like your mystery object 😊
Thank you so much for watching ❤️ 😊 what do you think this thing is?!
Enjoy your videos try to watch them all. Long time fan. I've watched you ice fish dumpster dive magnet fish using your car and still hanging with ya
looks like an old road hazard marker the bottom holds a flammable liquid and a small flame came out the top.
Really enjoy your videos. My husband is from Wisconsin. I can't believe all the stuff that you're finding, but at the end of the year, hopefully, it's going to pay off big. Keep the videos coming.
That link thing looks like part of the thing that connects the railroad cars together?

17:40 part of a railway bridge. The round ball used to be lit to mark road construction before flares and reflectors I think.

2 more of my favorites! Started with magnetic g but they arent on much now.
I often see you catching square nails, these were made by a blacksmith and in Europe they are usually very old. Quite a historic find.
Hey Tyler. Love the railroad goodies you keep finding.
@ 22:00 minutes you found a piece of a broken coupler.

11:52 if you went to buy that heavy steel, it no doubt would cost you 20 to 30 dollars,, steel is expensive.
Lots and lots of really good and heavy scrap metal.
