I drain the oil and fill it with gas and push it back and forth, letter set for a couple of hours and drain it and flush with cheaper oil, then fill it with 30W , never had a problem 😊😊
Tommy, dollars for donuts that it's valve lash if pulling the rope out of your hand. The exhaust vale will be most loose. Take valve cover off. Remove spark plug and move flywheel since beauty ring is off to get valve to close position. Put something in spark plug hole to find top dead center. Wooden dowel or some other stick. I used a nut driver. Next use 0.005 feeler gauge to adjust gap of rocker arm on valve. Repeat same procedure w/other valve 😁
@@tommy-time5240 Good!!! maybe a burnt exhaust valve. This is were you use a cheap Cylinder Leak Down Tester to find which valve or if rings is gone bad Then decide if you want to fix😊

LMAO, I'm selling a aluminum deck toro SR4, I know what I have, it has the bagger, the cap for mulching, and working electric start, I have it up for 400, it's worth 400 all day long, it's the pros favorite mower, I had a guy say, how about 50 dollars cash, and I have a trade, worth 250, I said ok send me a pic, he sent me a pic of a rotted out weed eater push mower, the engine didn't have the starter rope mechanism, no drive deck was almost in half, and he wanted it delivered to cherry hill NJ from Elkton Maryland, I laughed, I said I'll tell you what, you keep your mower, I'll bring the toro to you, for 550......delivery charge included...... . LMAO, he didn't like that deal... Hahahaha.

It worked. It was the valve lash way too loose. It pulls easy now but, it still smokes like the Dickins.
