    Brilliant, Tony. Ultra-high quality flying and editing. Great to get the 'God's Eye View of this section of the Dolomites. Thanks.

    Just astonishing landscape!
    I remember an epic day 28 years ago (strong climbs to more than 4000m) where I passed by "die drei Zinnen" on a flight from Kronplatz to Sillian in my Moyes GTR :-)

    Hi Tony, I just discovered your channel and love you videos! Really well filmed and edited and you do some epic flights! I had my first flight in the Dolomites this year, taking off from Kronplatz. I hope to return to the Dolomites next year and also to Fiesch - another one in your videos. I wonder if you might provide any advice on flying these areas - conditions, where to avoid, landing spots? When I landed at Kronplatz I wasn't really sure where to land but found a nice flat field just a few hundred meters from the ski lift. Your field looks similar but I'm not sure it's the same one... Actually I think I just worked out where you landed. It was an upslope landing directly west of the ski lifts? We checked out that landing field but when I came to land the wind was blowing directly up the field so I chose the flat one which was on the other side of the road to the north.

      Hi Darren, I'm glad you like the videos. I love your videos too, I've been watching them since a while!
      When I flew at Kronplatz the plan was to land at the field you described. But when I came back from the tre Cime the wind was blowing downhill so it was easy to land at the paraglider landing field. I love to fly in the dolomites, this year we flew from Col Rodella and Kronplatz. Speikboden is a good place too, I wish to fly there some time.
      Fiesch is a great place too, I fly there in summer. Don't fly in Fiesch though if there is too much wind from the north or from the south (Nordföhn or Südföhn). The landing field in Fiesch is a bit small, I only land there late in the day, when the wind is blowing from the glacier towards Fiesch. In the afternoon we land at Ulrichen, Goms (20 km east from takeoff). It's a big landing field.
      Here are two flights from this year where I landed in Ulrichen and Fiesch:

    What are those two pods on the sides of the base bar? Fairing over small wheels or food storage?
    Also why dont you add some aero cover to your instruments? A super aero wing and you hang some square stuff on it... sacrilege! I’d shave my head if that made anything more aero lol

    • @tonymarty4500
      @tonymarty4500  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pods are to protect the base bar when the glider is set up and they are
      there instead of wheels if you have a bad landing.
      (Also why dont you add some aero cover to your instruments?) Too much work for me! Naviter is selling a pod for this instrument, but the instrument is too far away from the pilot on a atos glider.

      Thanks! The spoilerons are connected with the down tubes. It's to fly like a flex wing, but a lot easier.
