Well I was singing bass with you seeing how I know the words to this song by heart, we sounded good together. I grew up on it and I live sort of near the Shenandoah Mountains, like 340 KM in your measurements, been there a few times. Honestly I am not that much of a fan of that song since I grew up on it. You know hearing it 100 times a month for 20 years, lol. But it was The awesome Beatrice singing it and you did a beautiful job. I might actually go buy your version. Love you girl keep up the good work.

Just a shoutout to Bill Danoff who wrote 3/4 of this song. John wrote the bridge ("I hear her voice..."). Bill and his wife, Taffy Nivert, also provided the background vocals on John's hit recording. I also think it's funny that the two specific geographic locations mentioned are only just barely in West Virginia. Ninety percent of the Shenandoah River is in Virginia, and Ninety-nine percent of the Blue Ridge Mountains is in Virginia/North Carolina. But hey, if it works for the song, go with it. Beautiful cover, as usual. 👍👍👍
