Wouldn’t it be faster to seduce for paralysis then use cannon?

Seduce is a multi-hit attack (3 hits). While it does give paralysis, it's generally pretty slow and not really worth it in all fights except for Pirate Cove, as the animation + hits take quite a while.
Plus the final fight revolves around getting counter attacks as often as possible, so paralysis would make the fight go on longer.
