Nothing to do with penny Emoni Bates is a diva and caused alot of problems Memphis played better without him best of luck to him but we good in Memphis
Penny's fault was playing him out of position...the problem was in order to make Memphis a bit more attractive,he had to promise Bates a chance at PG, which Bates is clearly not...He's more of a natural 3,some2,and occasional PG...
He wasn't ready to lead a team from the PG position.
It was just a case of immaturity and not ready at the time he came to Memphis.
Not Penny's fault at all...If he were ready metally,who better to learn the PG position than Penny?
It's all good though....hope he continues to improve and not let the good game go to his head....he has a chance to be special if he puts in the work....especially the weight room.

I think people keep forget that he’s still that young. He struggled in Memphis and that was concerning, but nothing too alarming for someone so young. I mean, in this era of social media and hella one-and-done’s we’re ready for the next thing the next day. Even with Chet Holmgren being injured, we still would’ve been talking about Wembanyama if he wasn’t and playing well.
People have to remember that he enter college a year earlier than he was suppose too. This year was really supposed to be his freshman year.

But he will be on one of those all American teams at the end of the year. So he is top 10. I agree though Emani is a top 10 talent this year in the college game.

Makes difficult shots, knows how to get to his spot, quick trigger on the perimeter shooting. This type of play is what translates at the next level. If he gains some muscle he will be better when it comes to dunking/layups and it will be hard to stop

This is really Emoni Freshmen year for those of you who don't Know he skipped his Senior year of High School.
Needs to work on Playmaking, because his foot speed and lack of burst isn’t going to cut it to be a primary shot creator. Still heaps of potential, but he’s just so slow.
