    The reason it will take 8 years to travel to Jupiter is…. It’s a darned long way to go.
    I can never really grasp how far away Juliet and beyond are. Heck, even Mars.

      Yes indeed! If you think about it the distances are huge, even after getting all the gravity assists from earth, moon and mars, it still takes a long time! Also space crafts take a lot of time purposely to save fuel so that they can focus on the actual science more!

    It will not answer whether we are alone - absence of proof is not proof of absence.

      Totally agree on Carl Sagan’s quote! What I meant is not on such a broad level, JUICE could potentially confirm the presence of simple life forms in our local solar system. So far at least there is no confirmation of life yet in our solar system.
