Thanks for testing some lesser known and/or less popular YT tools. I've always been curious what these harbor freight, walmart, and other brands are capable of and glad there is a channel testing them out.
Your videos are well done btw. Entertaining and good editing.
Ive got 2 of these Bauer brushless impact drivers, replaced the first one after a year cause the chuck fails to catch the bit, got a second one free when I bought a charger and 5ah battery and this one did the same thing after 3 months. Ive got 1/2 inch Bauer 20v impact with zero problems for a year now. I use the shit out of these tools but the chuck failures are kinda pissing me off. I do like the batterys and with some of the sales you can get em inexpensive and alot of times with free tools Ive gotten a circular saw and a sawzall. no battery issues yet but one battery the charge light's quit working.
Mine is going strong so far and one battery failure. Lucky the battery was in the 90 day warranty window.
Cool video but you should do it over again and add the 1.5 smallest battery and the newest huge 12ah largest battery just to see how much better or worse they each do in comparison also!
Ive been using Bauer in my professional wood shop for five years all ive done is upgade to the brushless have thought about adding some Hercules now that there prices and maby some skill i already have some hammerhead stuff i think Chervon is making big strides in pro type tools
Chervon as in Skil, Flex and Kobalt?
@@zacksintheshop yes sir
I’ve been trying to decide between trying Bauer or Hercules impacts to replace my old kobalts which still work great but after 6+ years there aging and wanting to try a different brand I can’t justify buying more Milwaukee after all of mine got stolen years ago which is why I tried the kobalt and it gets the job done but wanting to try something new have you tried any of the impact wrenches?
Well done sir, time and work was put into this review. I also own the 8A battery and it is a beast, I don't use my BAUER power tools professionally just as a garage and weekend warrior to tackle projects or issues as they come. I use the standard rapid charger and so far no issues. Yes it does take a while to charge the batteries full, 5A or even more so the 8A. I noticed that the BAUER brushed tools benefit from the 8A battery like a turbo charger lol, my old brushed impact with the 8A battery feels like on steroids also the weed whacker vs the 5A and or 3A. The brushless impacts also gain little power from the 8A battery but not as much noticeable as the brushed. It is possible that your 8A battery was somewhere defective?
Thanks for the comment. Maybe a good video would be to test older tools with newer batteries? I think my battery was just a random dud.
Impressive 😊. Bauer is stepping up its game! Except maybe for that 8ah battery. Thanks for sharing this
Hopefully the 8 AH is an anomaly
Thinking getting Bauer line
The impact in inclded in the buy a 5ah and charger for$99 as of this post
Could you review the Bauer impact with an adapter that allowes it to use Dewalt batteries on it?
I haven’t seen that adapter, but I will look.
Was that 8ah warm before putting it back on the charger
The first time it may have been a little warm. I tried it again the following day. No difference
Curious how the 20v skil compares id6739b i believe is the newest model
That’s a good suggestion- I will look into it.
