- This Is What EPCOT Walt Disney World Looked Like in 1995! (VHS Upscaled to HD 60FPS)
Step back in time and experience EPCOT at Walt Disney World as it was in 1995! This video, recorded by myself during our visit in '95 and now upscaled to HD 60FPS from VHS, captures the magic of a bygone era. Relive the sights and sounds of classic EPCOT attractions and areas that no longer exist today.
What you'll see in this nostalgic trip:
Arriving at EPCOT: The excitement begins as we step into the iconic park.
Spaceship Earth (Jeremy Irons narration, 1994-2007): Experience the classic ride in its original form.
Innoventions: See the futuristic showcase of technology.
Fountain of Nations (Defunct Area): Watch the mesmerizing water show in this central plaza.
Universe of Energy (Defunct Attraction): Journey through the now-extinct energy-themed pavilion.
The Living Seas (Defunct Attraction): Explore the wonders of the ocean before its transformation.
The Land Pavilion: A look inside this vibrant pavilion dedicated to agriculture and nature.
Living with the Land Attraction: Take a ride through greenhouses and sustainable farming methods.
Journey Into Imagination (1993-1998 Original Version): See the whimsical original ride with Dreamfinder and Figment.
World Showcase:
Canada, United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, America, Italy, Germany, China, Norway, Mexico: Explore each unique pavilion, capturing the architecture and culture.
Character Meet and Greets: In the UK and France, I caught special moments with beloved characters.
El Río del Tiempo (Defunct Attraction): Sail through Mexico's cultural history before it was replaced by Gran Fiesta Tour.
Horizons (Defunct Attraction): Visit one of EPCOT’s most beloved attractions, now lost to time.
Fountain of Nations at night (Defunct Area): A magical nighttime view of the iconic fountain.
IllumiNations: The grand finale as EPCOT’s famous nighttime spectacular lights up the sky.
EPCOT at Night: A peaceful stroll through the park as the lights twinkle after dark.
Join me on this incredible journey through time and witness EPCOT as it once was! 🌐✨

@alexgeorge501 Thanks Alex
Seeing Figment in all his glory is a painful reminder of how good that ride used to be. Thank you for all these memories.
@AntonioGuadagno it was the best and this version of the ride is now missed by thousands 😔
I went in 1983. It was gleeming and new and everything smelled fresh. Imagination had a lilac smell that made us all sneeze quite a bit. So much purple... so much purple.
@justimagine2403 that must have been wonderful 💜💜
I'm obsessed with horizons and I'm so bummed I can't experience it outside of videos.
@bigalsretroroom sorry to hear you never got to experience Horizons 😢
so many memories here. Epcot was my babysitter when i was about 12-13 ('97-'98). i dont remember much of horizons, but i do remember body wars and the pavilion. the real INNOVATIONS with the games and the robin williams robot. eating at the electric umbrella. Thanks Dave.
My first WDW trip was in ‘95 when I was 8! Love seeing this era!
@Wesida515 great memories
@@Wesida515 I was 13
the best version of space ship earth
Brought back some great memories for me. Thank you!
@kristakelley1296 you're welcome
My first trip to Disney was in 1996. I was 17 and it was our senior year trip. I didn’t have many friends and the ones I did have were juniors or sophomores. So I was by myself most of the time, but I still had a blast. Went again in 2000 with my college room-mate to celebrate graduating uni. Then I didn’t get to go again until Jan 2018! Lots changed! But it was still an awesome trip!
We visited in 1993 and 1996 but I have limited memory of this Epcot, except for Universe of Energy. The biggest thing that stands out to me in this video is- lack of ears and Disney shirts.
35:43 I can still smell the sent of fresh oranges while watching this.
@@mkaplan1383 memories 🍊 😁
Clearest footage I have ever seen of Horizons! Wish I could’ve gone on there myself
@RushWaggonerwindyshadow32 great to hear that & sorry to hear you didn't get to experience the attraction
I went in 1992, but three years wasn't as much of a difference in this case (though I'm assuming World of Motion had closed in '95, alas).
I will always miss Horizons - it, Spaceship Earth and World of Motion gave the EPCOT of old its identity, more than the other Future World pavilions.
The first time we went to WDW was in December of 1994
I was at Epcot in 1995. When was recorded? Maybe I’m in the background haha
Weird watching this and realizing that characters like Belle were still rather new at the time.
In 1998. My wife went scuba diving in the Living Seas. After spending like 250, Disney told her "Wave to the guests in the restaurant...pull out your regulator, and smile and laugh and try to entertain them!" She did, and her thank you? Having to spend 50 MORE for the dvd of her dive. Yep. They actually charged us 300 for what the Disney divers get PAID to do. omg.
22:08 Ah, The Voice Of Liberty. This group never disappoint me. I bet if you twist their arm they could do musical songs from 1776. But they'll won't because they only do songs of actual American Folk songs not Broadway Musicals.
