I want to know also. It's obvious a Japanese story, using American and Japanese parts to the story. I'm guessing siza is a form of punishment. It's sad,especially for young children so cruel, and I'm sure, painful sitting like that for several hours. It's a shame theses forms of punishment aren't considered as child abuse in a lot of cultures
