6S-180 owner here since Jan & so far very impressed, replaced a 11yr old 6480 engine note is harsher at higher revs over the same 6cyl. It hangs on well tho. Does everything the previous 6480 did so far with little fuss.

I've currently got 2× 7718s, will always choose the 6 cylinder better for arable work bit heavier on the front which you are always looking for. Also think the 6 cylinder is better if you are working hard on a sumo ,combination drill . Just my opinion. Great video.

When it comes to less tougher jobs, 6s will probably beat up 7s but by slight margins.. Of course with the potential to do work in shorter periods one could make a choice in favor of 7s, since some times getting the job done in time is more important.
    Nice video!

They are both the same HP and very similar torque, so the capacity and amount of cylinders is irrelevant in how well they will perform on a job like that. I applaud MF for overlapping a few models in the HP bracket as it gives farmers a choice of machine as everyone situation is different. It was interesting to see the fuel consumption but guess no surprise seeing the 6s is lighter and has less cylinders to fuel. Great idea for a video thanx.

Interesting results Maybe if they were compared over a 12 months both doing similar work results and driver preferences would play a big part in choice and how do the costs of each machine compare

Good afternoon Andy. The fuel usage results was intresting. I was expecting the 6s to use more fuel in that situation. I assume the 6s would be more of a livestock farmers tractor, suited to pto work. Where's the 7s with 6 cylinders and more weight would be a good all round performer. 👍

If we're actually working the engines the 7s would easily be better

30 degrees Celsius? Super hot? Bahahahaha! But seriously, John Deere went woke, down to Massey (or case or other sumitomo machines) and Kubota. Anyone have Kubota? Any good? I’m in the states and ditching ANY manufacturer/business that went woke and supported dei and the the rest of the nonsense. Kubota for utility but they don’t make 7:04 200hp+ machines. Also looking at Versatile. Anyone?

I understand not wanting woke equipment but there’s no doubt that Deere is top of the game plus Massey isn’t available everywhere across the the USA I’m sure the hell am not going with a cheap kubota or a cheap cnhi tractor so not much you can do
