I work at GoodLeaf Farm here in Canada you can look-up on how technology is used in our indoor farm. It is really amazing how we can grow crops all year round given the 4 seasons we have here😊

@@AngieMeadKing, you said cooling the air inside your green house doesn’t decrease humidity. Humidity will not decrease by cooling the air until you reach the dew point temperature (check the psychrometric chart). When that’s reached, you will fog up the place and theoretically moisten up the area as in rain in the afternoon or fog in the morning. That would not be possible just by moving outside air to the inside. The only way to do that is by AC where water molecules of incoming air is condensed by by the AC. Caution: an undersized AC is never going to work.

@@AngieMeadKing I like your towers . I already have units linked together for growing in perlite and coco but it could easily add a tower system with 2m of 100mm pvc pipe for lettuce, strawberries etc . A quick cut and a heat gun would form the pockets and just extend the irrigation hose to the top of the tower 🙂.

Hello i just saw ur video about ur greenhouse and i noticed that there are indeed some issues regarding the ventilation of ur GH. My GH doesnt have uv plastic for walls but it has nets all around to let cool air in and out 24/7 and it also has an open space just below the roof to allow more air in thats why despite the heat the inside of my GH is a bit cooler because my gh is located in a windy area so the wind works for me a little dusty tho.
I keep the door open during daytime and i told my caretaker to close it at night.

@@AngieMeadKing what's that other planting system that you put dried leaves, tree bark, branches and all kinds of organic things you put on top of the soil? I think there is a danger to that style because these things that are placed on top can collect water and you know what comes after that are all kinds of mosquito related diseases we can think of. That kind of system where you put branches or dried leaves on top of the soil (sorry I have not time to find out the right terminology to it) is no different from those gardens that are covered in plastics which only aims at keeping the soil most. Still, plastic covering can collect waters. The best solution is to cover the soil with mixed coarse sand gravel. Gravel can also help retain nutrients.

And black mesh to absorb the light energy and prevent it from turning to heat. You don't really need a greenhouse since you're neither installing aircon to cool down the plants nor do you need to trap the heat. I guess the roof is useful to control water intake via precipitation/rain. Is the greenhouse cooler than the ambient outdoor temperature?

Hello, it's the first time I saw one of your videos and it's impressive though I doubt that the products will ever cover your investment but still it's good people do something to improve farming in the Philippines. As you seem to have the budget, why don't you also try to develope simplified methods that local farmers can adapt your ideas without large investments ? Vegetables are relatively expensive in the Philippines and the common people could get better access to it if production improved and the prices dropped. Regards, Stephan

Hello Ms. Angie King! I just came accross this video. Am wondering of King Tower Farm is related / ally of King Orchard Farm? Sagrex Corp. has touched based with King Orchard and Sagrex technology is being utilized there. I hope we can meet and collab. All the BEST!

The only question I have in this video is about the temperature... I do understand you are trying to evacuate heat buildup in the or that it has a contributing factor... BUT my concern is that the plants are the actual concerned party for productivity and quality. Would it not be a better idea to actually place temperature sensors in the growth or plant areas and adjust accordingly? Just a thought I had while watching... The heat may build up there but there is no way to actually evacuate the heat without an expensive rebuild like you mentioned... but that area is really not the true direct concern. Caron dioxide production is heavier than oxygen as well, so it would seem exchange would still be good as well (and air movement amount the plants would be more imperative for monitoring is what I think I am trying to say...LOL) Just curious about that.

The basics are hot air rises and as hot air fills up the roof it works its way back down. Plants have an ideal growth temperature of 22-28c anything above that makes them heat stressed. Greenhouses work well for 4 season countries but we needed it for pest control. We're also trying to exchange air as much as possible so we can move humidity out also.

@@AngieMeadKing I see.. feel like I didn't think about that enough...LOL... I understand the difference now too from the US to the Phillipines... I know that Mickey's Blogs, he always mentions how it doesn't even really get cold, but warm and humid... Thank You for taking the time to message back.. :) Makes sense now.
