Does the Nessus Vulnerability Scanner for Linux have essentially the same interface as that for Windows? I will hopefully be working using NVS on Windows.
If you're going to scan the internal network -- as a consultant -- what is best practice to get tools like Nessus in to that network? Ask the company to create VM for you?

I'm sure you can look that up on their website. I'm not sure, but it probably does.

No, if you were a consultant, you'd have your own commercial license, so you'd have it on your laptop.

I would recommend looking at Nessie’s website for their software minimum requirements to determine if you can or can’t.
