I have this machine and the key buttons do not respond. Sent the mother board in to Corghi and it checks good . All 4 Green lights on the power board are on. Checked the upper flat cables for continuity. They check good. Display lights up. The measuring arm does not work either. I like this machine and want to get it working. Technical support at Corghi seems to be stumped. Called in local authorized service and all they did is check fuses and call Corghi. Anyone run into this before. I have a short video up of what the screen looks like. Help anybody? Italy?
@@CorghiUSA I figured it out. The 9004-104349 brake switch was shorted out. Unplugged it and the key function came back. Machine works fine without having this hooked up. Nightmare chasing this down.
Pls someone should advise me on what to do. I want to buy same machine on eBay and I will keep it for years before using it .I want to know if it will work or not after the five years or it will need some updates again From the manufacturer before it will work.please help me do the right thing.Thank you
Unfortunately there are a few different versions of the 8540 so there are a few different calibration methods. I recommend you call us in the service department to determine which version you have and we can get you the correct instructions or even walk you through the calibration. 1-800-260-0968 extension 1940 for service. Thank you from CorghiUSA
I have the same machine that I just fixed. Thanks for posting. Very helpful.

There are no updates needed. Calibrate once and you'll be good to go. Spare parts, if needed, are readily available.
