How to Make Venison Broth: My First Try

Wondering how to make venison stock or broth? Don't know the difference between stock and broth? Well, we're in the same boat! Join me as I try to make homemade wild game stock for the first time. I'll show you how I did it and give you my own commentary along the way including why I did or didn't do certain things, what I'd do differently next time, and how it all turned out.
I looked at a lot of online recipes and guides for this, but the one I referred to the most was Hank Shaw's recipe from his website, "Hunter, Angler, Gardner, Cook", or "Hunt Gather Cook". Now, keep in mind I didn't follow his directions 100%, but I recommend that you do. I think things would have turned out better for me had I stuck to his directions more closely.
Hank Shaw has been an awesome resource for me, and I would 100% recommend checking out his site and buying his books if you're interested in learning more about wild game cooking. His books are especially awesome because he doesn't just give you recipes, he teaches you how to handle each piece of game featured in his recipes. Overall, I just really like the guy's philosophy.
