  • This features a comparison of the Peak 1 single burner camp stove to the Jetboil Mighty Mo. I also go into how to set up and breakdown these stoves and why you might consider buying and using them. They are simple, fairly inexpensive and something everyone should have.

      Also, I’ve bought everything I’ve reviewed. I’ve had companies send me stuff for review back when I reviewed Apple centric products, even then I don’t pull my punches.
      How can you trust someone’s opinion if they lie or don’t give you the whole story?
      If I post it, it will be my honest, uncolored opinion.

    Excellent comparison! The price vs weight is a huge balance that many wouldn’t understand until seeing your informative video. Thanks you.

    Personally have a camping Gaz stove.But I do like the Stanley 2 person kit.
    I'm from the UK and I take it on holiday every year.
    The gas is everywhere I go and I bought my first one In kavos In Greece, and still have it to this day.

    Good info. You can refill the cans even with propane. Lixada makes a transfer valve can to can.

      I don't think it's recommended that you refill isobutane cans with propane. There are adapters that will allow you to use these stones with the 1lb propane cylinders, though.

    I think the reason jetboil mentioned the ability to simmer is because most of their stove systems are designed primarily to boil water, similar to so many other backpacking stoves that concentrate the flames in the center of the pot. It makes for impressive boil times that work with dehydrated meals and melting snow quickly but not so great for cooking eggs and such.

    • @niq872
      @niq872 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes i have the jetboil flash and it doesn't really simmer so its hard to cook some stuff because it heats up so fast but for boiling water its amazing.

      I love my PeakOne, but it’s heavier than I’d like for backpacking at 6.7 ounces. I picked up a cheaper, lighter one at half the weight for ultralight trips.

    Excellent presentation. Perhaps a small grate to set on top mighty mo under Stanley cup.
    On a side note brother, your voice would seem excellent for voice acting.

    • @vernseward5323
      @vernseward5323  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Mr Laughin.
      The small grate would help but it’s something else to carry and keep track of. I like the Mighty Mo, just a bit more metal would make it perfect.
      About voice acting, thanks! I’ve been trying to break into that for a while now with little luck. I’ll keep plugging away. I’m sure I’ll catch on at some point.

    I think the 250 and 500 are the nominal canister sizes not the connection count ratiing. I used to be how many grams of gas were in there. Kind of like how a one pount coffee can now has 11 oz of coffee in it.

    to me the very short difference in boil time is not of concern , the important thing is the quality of the tea :-) have to have good tea when camping.

    • @vernseward5323
      @vernseward5323  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, either will deliver water hot enough for tea in about 5 minutes. I like earl grey or turmeric-ginger.
