Aw, Gina, thank you so much for doing this review! Kathy Westmordland imo is one of the most underrated figures in Elvis' life. Why? I feel because she is grateful and humble about what she was gifted to experience, very realist, too. And she never urged herself into the spotlight like so many others. This book is a real gem, I love it, too. Got it a few years ago after searching for it an eternity! Kathy herself is a gem, too, imo. She knew Elvis very very well, I think they really clicked, their souls did, I'm sure. Her reserved and classy attitude strongly reminds me of Ann-Margret's. Love them singing together (for example in You Asked Me To). I could go on ...🙆 About re-publishing, I read Kathy wanted to correct, maybe add a few things before doing that, obiously she never came round to do that. She is still alive, but sadly not doing fine I've heard. Thanks again!! Best wishes from the other side of the globe, Bavaria🙋🏻
Thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate your comments. I agree with you that Kathy has class like Ann-Margret...they are the only two professional female entertainers that Elvis ever dated for a prolonged period of time, and like you, I believe Elvis had a much closer connection to them than his other women through their shared loved of music. (Anita Wood was a singer too, but she wasn't world class like the other two.)
@@Patracat Music is such a strong connector! In general, but especially for Elvis who was living it and feeling it in every fibre of his body 🎶! Yes, Anita Wood had a beautiful voice, too, and was a proud and classy lady who made that fateful choice for Elvis and left because of Priscilla.
Muchas gracias por este video, es maravilloso, eres una gran fanatica de Elvis, yo siempre he buscado este libro pero lamentablemente no lo lo he conseguido. Muchas gracias por compartir.
So glad that you got your hands on this rarity and were able to read it. I have many of the second rate books, that you referred to including the most trashiest of all, and they are..."interesting". It is great that Kathy always portrayed Elvis in a positive light.
❤ Thank you, Gina... damn, to tears again 🥺... again 🥺... again... 😆 yeah... You have to have some incredible, supernatural power to be able to be Elvis. Elvis... A precious child with a pirate smile and the gentle gaze of a hungry boa constrictor. ♡
Gina I’m an elvis fan and I’m staying that way too I love elviss music and flims that’s why I always live elvis Gina I must say that us elvis fans will never forget elvis and will always remember elvis for who he was elvis was such an amazing fantastic entertainer that ever lived
Thank you so much for sharing some of the details in this book. It makes no sense that she didn't have it reprinted. It's Elvis history. If she wrote it to defy some of the other false books out there, I would think she'd want her story read. What a shame. But thank you for taking the time to enlighten us.
Hi Susan, you are very welcome. If you want to hear more about Kathy's book you might like to visit @Rare Elvis Photos channel, if you haven't already. He is reading a lot more from the book than I did.
This was a fab review of the book Gina totally loved how you pulled interesting facts from it. Imo I feel that Cathy would be honest in what she is saying dont feel she was doing it to gain anything. Thanks for the intetesting review of a book I probally will never come across.
Very enlightening. Thank you. It seems elvis was too good looking for his own good, which led to women adoring him and him shying away from marriage. 😮
Tyvm for the review Gina! I’m from Brazil, 56yo and have been a fan since 1973 - while watching Aloha from Hawaii! Have been to Graceland a lot of times and got a huge collection but sometimes I’m afraid it will be all homeless after I’m gone you know? I have that book and also many other rarities (not only books, but autographs from ppl related to Elvis, collectors editions, rare imported CDs from Europe and Japan, etc… If anyone is interested on Kathy’s book pls let me know, I’d take in consideration an offer that express the rarity and unique value of that book!
Hi jfulmo, thanks for viewing my channel and leaving a positive comment. Brazil! I am always fascinated to see where everyone who visits this channel come from. Sounds like you have a great collection of Elvis memorabilia. May I suggest that you include a clause in your will that you want all your Elvis gear to be auctioned or sold to Elvis fans, so it doesn't end up at the tip. I have a couple of friends living nearby who are also Elvis fans, and 20 years younger than me. I have specified in my will that all my Elvis gear is given to them to sort out between themselves.
@@Patracat maybe it’s better to give them out to Boise friends rather than sell/auction mainly because I don’t think my sons would have time or patience to do so….

Hey! I did not realize that you did a review on the book. When I get a little time, I’ll have to watch this. I’m in the middle of reading it to everybody right now, but do you have the book or did you get a PDF? It’s so hard to find a copy without spending way too much money on it!
Hi Joe, I borrowed Kathy's book from a friend who has it, and as I didn't want to keep it too long, I only read a few passages from it. You are doing a great job!
I guess i have this Book in my Collection but i'm not sure...i've collecting so many Elvis Books since 1975, and now i stop collecting Elvis Books. It's 🎶Too Much Monkey Business 🎶🤑

Kathy goes into a lot of detail that I didn't have time to read out. She knew Elvis was married and did not want to become emotionally involved with him, but as they became closer working together, and she saw how unhappy and how sick he was, she reached out to comfort him, and one thing led to another as it does.
I wish somebody could read this book that we could speak Clear English without a twist. I have to listen very carefully very carefully to catch what you're saying.
I don't know what country you are from Bonita, but I am not going to apologise for my accent. I know the Australian accent is considered difficult to understand for Americans and other English speaking countries, but by the same token we find it hard to understand some non Australian people too, but I would never criticise their way of speaking.
