🤗 for rehoming so many of your water fowl Megan,i know how much joy you get from them it must be hard on you 🙁😥🤗 Just a cple of,hopefully helpful, tips, thoughts, given with good intentions. 🥰🤗 You’re doing great making the changes regarding feeding/sanitising,those hay feeders are great to keep the hay off the ground. 👍 You might find feeding grains in the bottom problematical though? - it’s going to be tricky to clean & sanitise that lower area regularly without needing to tip to get rid of excess feed & water/cleaning solution - not simple with hay in the top. Maybe feeders/bowls still, that are easy to scrub out might be easier for the grains? One of the very best parasite control actions you can take is multi-species rotational grazing, you might want to consider that option too, especially once you have the benefit of Little Gary & his companion at ISS as well. It gives the parasites a break from having a receptive host. & lastly,on the subject of pastures,i know everyone loves to harrow,it’s much quicker & easier on your back than poop-picking after donkeys lol 😂 But,when there is 💩 on the pasture, until you clean it up (a necessary evil 🙁) the animals will eat around it,they’re not going to intentionally take a mouthful of 💩 with their grass. What harrowing does,is very efficiently cover near enough every square inch of pasture with tiny pieces of poop & all the parasites get nicely spread around too, which is why after harrowing, the pasture should be rested for a minimum of a week or two (ideally longer). Or every mouthful of grass contains not so yummy poop & parasites. It takes consistent temperatures in excess of 90C to kill off most parasites;why harrowing is generally done in the spring. Now you have the benefit of the hotter temperatures there,so more flexibility, but for sure the pasture should be rested afterwards to give the ☀️ time to eradicate the parasites. Oh,last thing, then i’ll shut up 🤐 it’s a common misconception that cold weather kills off parasites. Some, yes, but most just go dormant/‘power down’ - barber pole worms for example, need up to about 6 months of consistent cold temps to get killed off & even then there’s still likely to be some inside the animals that make it,so cold snaps are not something to be able to be relied upon for parasite control. As always, only ever wanting to help from my years of experience & all said with good intentions & love 🤗
great video explaining all the different things to help with keeping areas even more sanitary. but dont stress yourself to much you guys do a great job
Great things you are doing. I will admit, I have made negative posts before. But I will say that I have total faith in you both now. I apologize for my criticizing. But you guys are doing great and you will do your best for the animals.
Good work you guys, the work is never done, always something! I think we are all grieving Okie, he was so special. There will never be another Okie. Many blessings and much love from Michigan...💖
That is awesome Megan and LE you two are doing a good job. Learning as you go. Cleaning and sanitizing is great eating off the ground with them new hay feeders that hold feed on the bottom 😊
Just do your best like you have been... I know how extremely close you were w Oakie and for good reason. 8m sorry for your loss.. I wanted to cry for you more than anyone! If that sounds rude I'm sorry. Everyone loved him I know but you put so much effort into the alpaca😢 Keep up the great work you 2🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
I would like to make a suggestion. Those buckets will not keep mice and raccoons other animals out. They will chew holes in the sides. I did that with dog food. You will find a chest kind of deep freezer works really well.
You definitely need to give pawpaw one goose so it can protect his chickens because he lost all his chicken to a predator so a goose can protect them 😊ask if he wants one to protect them 😊
Okie's loss is a hard one, you guys are doing amazing, what a lot of changes! Happy to hear that you are keeping most of my favorite ducks and geese (Aunt Lydia being one of them 🙂). Much love and hugs to you both ❤
Hi Megan. Ya'll are doing great on the animals' home improvement. I know that you're grieving, but how can you not smile when you're looking at Cupid's precious face.
Megan it is so thoughtful of you to think about your viewer who are grieving along with you. My heart is breaking with you and for you during this time of loss. You and LE amazing and working so hard to provide all the babies their best life. There has never been a doubt about your love, compassion or dedication for each of these babies. Thank you for sharing yours and the animals lives with us.
Y'ALL HAVE ALWAYS DONE A GREAT JOB....caring for multiple breeds that multiply and different feeding schedules....it's just changes of daily activities....it's like re- organizing a house or business
HEY Megan and LE ❤ Lester said him and Jami was going to get some of the geese, ducks and chickens for longhorn Lesters and the J and L ranch. To keep there pond's safe. Everything looks good. Love y'all and God bless y'all ❤️ Okie has been the hardest loss, he was so precious. I know y'all miss him. I'm going to miss him so much. Y'all are in my prayers 🙏
Megan, I enjoyed your video today. One thing that I was proud of you for was, your take charge, moving forward, and planning your future endeavors on the farm attitude. You seemed to be more confident. I believe someone needs to do that on a farm, whether it's male or female, husband or wife.
I must say Megan. You done an EXCELLENT job getting that dirt pasture cleaned with the changes you and LE have implemented on the heels of the sudden and unexpected passing of Okie Dokie. If it takes rehoming some of the water fowls the multiple egg layer included and some furry animals to keep that dreaded disease under control, so be it. And those feed containers are really awesome to keep some of your pesky farm animals from helping themselves unnecessarily and making a mess. Take care of yourselves, good luck with everything, stay safe both humans and animals and Good bless! Oh, and in his and Jami's Sanctuary Sunday, Lester adviced for you and LE to NOT make night trips anywhere for grocery and other activity that require driving due to the ongoing situation from the development across the street from the Sanctuary. Without getting political, I know what's the sole purpose for how that development expanded so far, so large from a mere 600 residents to 75,000 in two years with one road in and one road out. Those 600 residents as Lester alluded to were there for years all of his life, his dad's(LE's PawPaw's) and all of his granfather's life. There were a few homes and few people and everything was fine and had a school district with an elementary, a middle school and a high school as in one elementary school, one middle school and one high school and it all happened a mere three years ago and in two more years there will be seven of each and according to Jami as she added, the long term plan is to have 35 school districts with a growth of 1,000 students a month with no track of who's supposed to be there and who isn't that the situation as shown on videos show how bad and unsustainable that growth and expansion is, while Lester alluded to criminal activity that has been an increasing occurrence in that neighborhood, his concerns are safety for women driving alone, including the Morrow Hill women. So his advice to you both is DON'T leave at night even to go to the grocery store for safety's sake. So please HEED Lester and Jami's advice. Again, stay safe, be VIGILANT and God bless!
Agree everywhere you look you have birds you must be doing something right they all feel comfortable with you Megan I did see Lester say he would like a few ducks for the pond and geese maybe some could go tho his ponds
Your farm your ways BUT I would think it would be easier to keep all feed in one place and get two sets of feed bowls and collecting all of them at feed tim and so you can clean them together then feed and distribute the filled dishes when collecting the last used ones might need a wagon or side by side to do this easy? Just a suggestion.
I like this idea also, for many reasons. They will figure it out if this new feeding way isn't working.out. We all know LE likes to work smarter not harder😄
Great video, Megan! Thank you so much for sharing with us what y'all are doing to clean things up around the Sanctuary and try to prevent parasites in your babies. I appreciate you sharing your plans, showing us what you've done already, and what you will soon be doing to help provide for the safety of the babies! The famacha checks, when done regularly as you plan to do, should help you keep abreast of any anemia issues going on from parasites and help you know when you need to intervene for a baby, and possibly before they are demonstrating obvious signs of sickness! I'm thrilled to hear that you will be re-homing many geese and ducks and yet are going to keep some very popular and longtime favorites like AdamorSteve, Susie, and Aunt Lydia! I'm also thrilled to hear that you will be continually trying to find all duck and geese nests and will be removing their eggs! I applaud you for doing these things and I think the pond and the pastures in general will be much cleaner now without all the water fowl and I'm sure things will also be more peaceful without so many geese especially. Hopefully, this will mean less work for you too in trying to clean up behind them constantly. Love that you now have food storage bins and that they are waterproof! The old feed room invasions will no longer occur & food will be kept closed up. Great work!! Thank you so much for all you are doing for the babies! Again, I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet, sweet Okie! I know you miss him. I really miss him and loved him so much!
So incredibly proud of you guys for being so proactive with all the new changes as I knew you would Thank you so much for including us Okie was the sweetest little boy ever and I will miss seeing him terribly but I find so much joy in the fact that you are honoring him by trying so hard to see it doesn't happen again Your video means more than you know Thank you for all Ya'll do
I'm really happy to see ya'll are trying very hard to be diligent about cleanliness, food, water, meds, checking for any illnesses and re- homing a few for the best 👌 good job, keep it up! ☺️☺️☺️
Please stop second doubting yourselves as you’re doing fantastic! This parasite incident is not your fault! It’s going on all over the United States and yes it’s very sad to see your babies be so sick and even loss from it is even more devastating but as you said we learn from our mistakes! I have always wished in my many years in the veterinary field that our babies and my clients babies could talk and tell us when they don’t feel well! Sending y’all Love and Prayers!!
You are certainly doing your due diligence to keep pastures clean. I think controlling the eggs will make a huge difference. It's been a hard week, but I love that you are pushing through.
Great idea to use the containers. Couldn’t you still use the feed room though so the food inside stays dry always? I know it requires more walking but insures the feed stays dry in inclement weather. Sorry for your loss 😢 we all lived Oakie
Those are great steps towards improvement. May I suggest you invest in a couple sets of backup feed bowls/troughs so you're not having to clean them before every feed time. Also you might have issues with raccoons getting in your feed buckets. They are crafty little critters and can get those open.
Please remember folks, we are still praying for Ernie he is not out of the woods yet!!! LE and Megan you're doing a great job on implementing safety features for feeding the littles. Thanks for sharing the video with us❤. Enjoy your blessed day XXXO 💕😁
Megan and LE you’re both doing a great job with all the animals. You both should be very proud of yourselves you’re doing what’s best for the health and safety. Just remind yourselves, no one was at fault but we learn and you guys are making it better than ever. Love my farm family.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Meagan and LE, I'm so so sorry for the loss of Okie. My heart is broken 💔 for you. I'm glad you are able to make positive changes for all the babies.
Megan, we all love you, and know you are always doing your best for these babies. The yard looks amazing! I love the new feeders. Hugs to y'all during this sad time. Okie Dokie will be missed so very much.
The pigs knocked the feeders that Lester and Jamie bought them and you all, over. So Lester is going to try bearing the legs so they can be knocked over. Things look better hopefully you keep it up.

You guys are doing amazing work and awesome job at keeping babies safe. I gotta tell you not seeing Oakie come up to you in that pasture makes me sad as I am sure it does for you as well. I’m just not used to not seeing him there anymore 😢. We all loved him. We gotta keep moving forward for Oakie
I just seen a video that Jake posted of the A, B, C donkies I got to tell you and Le have done so good with them they look amazing, koodos to you both, cause you did that and yu both deserve recognition, cause it's hard to do and maintain, you rock keep doing your thing with all the babies it's beautiful to see.
Are there Sheep farms near you guys? I know that they get Barber Pole worms. Maybe all that rain you guys got washed those parasites into the yard. I still can’t believe that Okie is gone. It has broken my heart into a million pieces. I really appreciate the effort you two are making to keep the animals safe.❤️
That's great the way you're doing your changes. Your learning, and that's what's important. That is a lot of fowl to look after. It's good to hear that the ones going will have a nice big pond to swim in. ❤&🙏
🤗 for rehoming so many of your water fowl Megan,i know how much joy you get from them it must be hard on you 🙁😥🤗

It is a-lot of extra work LE & Megan. We are very grateful you are doing this extra work.
We know LE and you are doing all that you can do to cleanup to keep your babies safe and healthy.
Good work you guys, the work is never done, always something! I think we are all grieving Okie, he was so special. There will never be another Okie. Many blessings and much love from Michigan...💖
Thank you for all you do for the babies.
❤ Love You and L.E... Stay Blessed ..
Thank you for all your doing❤️you two are beautiful people.
Well done LE and Megan on cleaning up the pastures for your babies. Proud of you . ATB Gail from Worcester Massachusetts ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Jami and Lester talked about taking some birds on their live Sunday 😊
Thanks for the updates
The babies are cute.❤😊
Megan, you guys are doing a fantastic job
❤
❤❤❤❤❤
Dry lots are good too.
You guys are doing a great job!
Good idea with those plastic lockable containers - keep stuff dry, and pertinent
I really like the new feed stations
I would like to make a suggestion. Those buckets will not keep mice and raccoons other animals out. They will chew holes in the sides. I did that with dog food. You will find a chest kind of deep freezer works really well.
I certainly hope you guys helped them catch all those 🐦 birds! 😮 ❤
Hope the goats can't use that new hay feeder as a playground. It looks top heavy.
You are doing a great job. ❤
Great job 👍
Less feathers is much overdue. Sorry that it will be a hard decision for you ❤️🩹
You definitely need to give pawpaw one goose so it can protect his chickens because he lost all his chicken to a predator so a goose can protect them 😊ask if he wants one to protect them 😊
Jake mentioned that you and LE are thinking of moving from the hill. Really??
I mean we’ve never said we were moving or thinking of moving. We naturally have had conversations about it but nothing serious!
@@madebymeganclay6144 Thanks, because I didn't recall such a conversation in either of your YT pages, so Jake wasn't 'being serious.
Love to see more of cornholio. He’s my favourite
Thanks for the updates
Okie's loss is a hard one, you guys are doing amazing, what a lot of changes! Happy to hear that you are keeping most of my favorite ducks and geese (Aunt Lydia being one of them 🙂). Much love and hugs to you both ❤

It will be nice to see all the pastures harrowed again. LE your Dad found the harrow out by the pond- in case your looking for it. Lol
Megan talked about learning to drag so the harrow must be back.
Y'ALL HAVE ALWAYS DONE A GREAT JOB....caring for multiple breeds that multiply and different feeding schedules....it's just changes of daily activities....it's like re- organizing a house or business
I knew you two would be on top of this. Awesome as usual! ❤
Put the pig's in there to eat the eggs 🥚 ❤❤
Megan, you are such a great speaker! I love hearing your voice. You are one of my favorite speakers on and off the hill.
HEY Megan and LE ❤ Lester said him and Jami was going to get some of the geese, ducks and chickens for longhorn Lesters and the J and L ranch. To keep there pond's safe.
Everything looks good. Love y'all and God bless y'all ❤️
Okie has been the hardest loss, he was so precious. I know y'all miss him. I'm going to miss him so much. Y'all are in my prayers 🙏
Yes, I can’t believe Okie died. Wow, that was really news news.😮❤
Okie wasn’t your fault. HAD to be the flood. And how would you know. I haven’t been able to watch the okie video yet. Still too raw.
Okies death will not be forgotten. We are all hurting 💔 I'm very sorry for all of us. But changes made will be better and that's all we can do
As long as they don’t have to eat of the ground
Megan, I enjoyed your video today. One thing that I was proud of you for was, your take charge, moving forward, and planning your future endeavors on the farm attitude. You seemed to be more confident. I believe someone needs to do that on a farm, whether it's male or female, husband or wife.
You guys are doing an awesome job!! Very tough to keep a flood prone area parasite free!!
Please keep gray goose.
Eventually, will you be able to have a second set of bowls and plastic feeders so you can collect, feed, and clean easier?
I must say Megan. You done an EXCELLENT job getting that dirt pasture cleaned with the changes you and LE have implemented on the heels of the sudden and unexpected passing of Okie Dokie. Hi Meg- I hope you intend on keeping gray goose- and Adam and Steve? They are icons at the Sanctuary.
Sorry you didn't see that part but they are absolutely keeping Grey Goose and Adam/Steve❤😊
Agree everywhere you look you have birds you must be doing something right they all feel comfortable with you Megan I did see Lester say he would like a few ducks for the pond and geese maybe some could go tho his ponds
Ducks maybe but I can't see Lester saying he wants geese because he just likes the geese because of how noisy they are.?
I know I was a bit shocked that Lester said that but he loves Jami and Jami does love her geese and ducks.. it was writing on the calendar worthy😊
You are all doing a good job, for all the animals.
You are going to keep Jami’s Original’s? Right??
That was so detailed. Thank you for walking through it all with us! ❤
Your farm your ways BUT I would think it would be easier to keep all feed in one place and get two sets of feed bowls and collecting all of them at feed tim and so you can clean them together then feed and distribute the filled dishes when collecting the last used ones might need a wagon or side by side to do this easy? So incredibly proud of you guys for being so proactive with all the new changes as I knew you would
Thank you so much for including us
Okie was the sweetest little boy ever and I will miss seeing him terribly but I find so much joy in the fact that you are honoring him by trying so hard to see it doesn't happen again
Your video means more than you know
Thank you for all Ya'll do
Good work! Your new prevention plan is going to help all the animals.
We know by watching your videos, you two are doing the best w/ what you's have! And you guy's are trying to make improvements!😊😊❤❤❤❤
Maybe Wilbur will eat the eggs like tiny Tim did
I think u sound up beat because you have found the problem and you have learned how to take care of it
You two are doing a great job together, keeping everything clean.
It's great you're being proactive to make it better for the babies. XXXXX
You have been busy indeed. Well done. Thanks for sharing. 💖 💖 💖
You two are working so hard. BIG KUDOS to the both of you!
I'm really happy to see ya'll are trying very hard to be diligent about cleanliness, food, water, meds, checking for any illnesses and re- homing a few for the best 👌 good job, keep it up! ☺️☺️☺️
Megan you might find feeding grain in the bottom a little problem. Not going to be easy washing and sanitizing.
There are holes in the bottom for drainage
AND lots of rain is moving in again ❤
Their is a lot of pain, hurt, and anger. I know their is no one to blame, I wish their was but theirs not. Thank you for all your doing.
All the THEIRS that you used……It should be (THERE.)
Sounds & looks like you guys got your best foot forward
Please stop second doubting yourselves as you’re doing fantastic! This parasite incident is not your fault! Sorry for your loss 😢 we all lived Oakie
I’m glad they are going to someone that we know. Looks like you are doing a great job. I’m proud of you😊. That shows whether they are anemic
Those are great steps towards improvement. May I suggest you invest in a couple sets of backup feed bowls/troughs so you're not having to clean them before every feed time. Also you might have issues with raccoons getting in your feed buckets. They are crafty little critters and can get those open.
That’s good that you’re getting rid of some of those ducks. They can’t be a nuisance they bought. Multiply like crazy.. you two are doing great job
Please remember folks, we are still praying for Ernie he is not out of the woods yet!!!
LE and Megan you're doing a great job on implementing safety features for feeding the littles. Thanks for sharing the video with us❤. Enjoy your blessed day XXXO 💕😁

Hi Meagan and LE, I'm so so sorry for the loss of Okie. My heart is broken 💔 for you. I'm glad you are able to make positive changes for all the babies.
AND SOMETIMES YOU DO STUFF YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT OF IT ❤
Megan, we all love you, and know you are always doing your best for these babies. The yard looks amazing! I love the new feeders. Hugs to y'all during this sad time. Okie Dokie will be missed so very much.
Megan and LE you a both doing a great job with the improvement. ❤
The pigs knocked the feeders that Lester and Jamie bought them and you all, over. So Lester is going to try bearing the legs so they can be knocked over.
Things look better hopefully you keep it up.
Great job you two! Im terribly sorry about Okie. It is tragic but it was an unseen issue, everyday there is a lesson and you learn. Love ya'll.
The pigs knocked the feeders that Lester and bought them and you all over.
Also pick up odds & end buckets, rakes & tools left out in pastures & grass grows up around!
Will some of the cats be getting spayed and neutered; lots of adorable kitties that were a surprise.
Hello Megan & LE😊😊❤❤❤
Get some extra trofts so you can clean a set and switch out with clean ones while you clean others to cut done on your work.
That is what Lester has, 2 sets of feed troughs
Are there Sheep farms near you guys? I know that they get Barber Pole worms. Maybe all that rain you guys got washed those parasites into the yard. I still can’t believe that Okie is gone. It has broken my heart into a million pieces. I really appreciate the effort you two are making to keep the animals safe.❤️
Adam or Steve must stay
Hi Megan & LE, Everything looks great! Praying for you also it's so hard to lose a loved one. 🙏 Okie will definitely be missed. 😢 Thanks for sharing
You both have done an amazing job with everything that has happened.
That's great the way you're doing your changes. Your learning, and that's what's important. That is a lot of fowl to look after. It's good to hear that the ones going will have a nice big pond to swim in. ❤&🙏
