Nothing like fog to provide mood, especially with bare trees.. I love your description; "beautifully desolate". Spot on! I stopped the video at 1:54 and just gazed at that image for quite a while. I just love the depth, the way those branches a reaching in from the left and helping to bring your eye back to that amazing tree in the middle. Wow, that hangar on the hook inside the church just waiting for someone to use it was really cool. An eerie mood at a site that is almost like another world. Thanks for taking us along!! Have a great weekend.
Very eerie indeed! Funny you mention it-that lone hanger really jumped out at me too. Thanks Charlie
Great video Keith! And the prints were exquisite.
Thanks very much Mark!
Great job Keith and Teena!
Thank you!
Terrific find! I’ve loved exploring that area on my two trips up there, and your videos make me think my next Delta trip should be sooner rather than later.
Thanks Chris -- there's really no place else like it! Enjoy!
Hello, my dear friends.
The church at the beginning is a building that, despite its condition, deserves a lot of respect.
You've depicted it beautifully too, my friend.
But that tree alone made the biggest impression on me.
That photo is very beautiful and good.
The prints also look very good, but I think the hahnemühle paper is still the best.
And the old faithful Hasselblad has shown its worth again, buddy.
Just in between.
I bought a new camera.
The Lumix G9 mark II.
I took it out yesterday to take some test photos.
I am pleasantly surprised at the dynamic range this Micro 43 camera has.
I had put my Summilux Leica lens on it.
This is a killer combination.
For me, this is the best camera I have ever owned.
But now back to the video.
The statue under the bridge is very beautiful. It would make a nice abstract photo.
The cemetery is very large, I mean the graves are far apart.
It is of course also possible that many gravestones have disappeared over time.
That landscape photo of the forest's edge in the mist is very beautiful, friend.
It was my pleasure to watch this video again.
Say hi to Teena from me because the video work was perfect and well taken care of again.
Kind regards from the Netherlands,
Antoine.
Thanks Antoine! That’s a really nice lens and camera you have! I think many of the headstones have disappeared or gone under weeds. I noticed the ground had many sunken spots. I appreciate the nice words for Teena - I’ll tell her!
In the 90s I owned a gas station a man befriended me and down the street there was a church .it was so grown up with brush you couldn't hardly even see it . Harvey Jones borrowed my generator and went down there and resurrected the church today it is vibrant beautiful you would never know it was covered in brushed. I found out about a year ago Harvey had a medical episode and burned up in his car he he served two tours in Vietnam as a machine gunner he was the real deal we were friends for 30 years.
What a guy! Sorry to hear how he passed, but he sounded like a force of nature. Thanks for sharing that story here
