This movie is SO GOOD!!! I’ve already seen it twice and would gladly go again. My only negative is that I have to wait a year to see part two. I seriously would have sat through a five hour movie if they could have made it into one film, it’s THAT good! One of the only movies I’ve ever been to that people enthusiastically applauded at the end of the movie. I hope that both leads get nominated for Academy Awards as they SO deserve to be. AMAZING film on every level!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In the second part we’ll get For Good. I am looking forward to hearing Ariana and Cynthia sing it. Apart from Defying Gravity For Good is my favorite number from Wicked
Erivo brings her soul to every song. Check out the live stage version of "I'm Here." Also her Kennedy Center Honors version of Alfie or her Oscar Award performance of "Stand Up." I'd love to see a reaction to any of those.
I'm a musical theater nerd. And while I've never had a chance to travel to NYC, there are some really good videos on youtube, if you can find them. (And I'm REALLY dedicated.) With that being said, I loved the movie and can't wait to see Part 2 next year.
I just finished watching it myself. I was surprised that it was Part 1. Can't wait to see the sequel. We still need to see how her sister becomes a wicked witch, where she gets her Ruby Slippers and how Glenda became a witch.
We will not see ruby slippers because MGM owns that -- they changed the book's silver slippers to ruby because red pops in technicolor. (There were ruby slippers in a Disney Oz story but they paid MGM something to do it.) NessaRose gets the silver slippers from her father early in this movie but they are not magical at this point in time.
@chrisf5828 Galinda had a pair of sparkly ruby colored slippers among her shoes, maybe not ruby slippers, but they sure looked like them. We will just have to wait and see.

Your going to be shocked when you see how evil the sister is. PROBABLY THE EVILEST CHARACTER IN THE WHOLE MOVIE

Breaking into song works in well written musicals. It's terrible when they are rubbish musicals
