I was thinking of buying it ends with us because of all the hype on internet but I remembered the hype for John Green's The Fault in Our Stars years ago and figured it would be the same shit. I finally found a realistic critique. LOL
Couldn’t agree more about booktok books, a couple hours ago I was reading comments about CoHo books and some people said the same thing that they are hyped by non-readers who are just getting into reading. Honestly there were great books booktok had introduced to me but some of them just sucked and i was disappointed, i never understood why they were so hyped.
I'm glad you brought up Colleen Hoover! I have read one CoHo book and it will forever be the last book of hers I read. I can see the appeal of her writing, it is super easy to read, so I can see why people fly through her books but the contents of her books and then how it's been pointed out how problematic she is and some of her content is I hope people, specifically booktok (because they get super defensive about their CoHo) realize how harmful her writing can be. Anyways! I always love your vlogs, they always feel so cozy!

i'm so glad u liked song of achilles! i haven't read it personally but i read circe by madelline miller and LOVED IT. I'm not a mythology gorl likeeee i grew up on harry potter not percy jackson yknow but how u talked about SOA being a book where u could dislike the plot or find that its not ur cup of tea but it would objectively still be a GOOD WELL WRITTEN book is so well put. i feel the exact same way about circe, the prose is amazing. the connections miller makes and the way the character journey unfolds is written so beautifully and and the one-liners had me kicking the air !!!!!! I'm def looking to read soa after i finish jade city and its series lol
