Hi Marcus, to me that is your best video on early release and the explanation of the two drills. I really love at about minute 11 when you are surprised about yourself how well you stroke the ball. Cheers from Stuttgart, Marc
@@GRFGolf Hey Marcus this is really lovely to hear. Can't wait to receive it. I am just watching your nice vid with Gary Orr. So great to see, that even with people of his skill level you are doing the same "stuff" as with us "ordinary mortals". Ok, he is on a different level ;-)
Really appreciate this topic, though I'm struggling to meld the 2 concepts together. In a full swing or even just 3/4, when does the flail portion happen?
My miss being a hook...this scares me. I know Marcus is right as shaft lean opens face. Rotating about shaft plus early release is monster hook with an iron off a tee if I pop too soon. My other miss is too much in to out and block when I don't time it. I have to try for out to in to hit driver straight...big disaster if combined with early shaft rotation & head passing the hands. Tough knowing Marcus could pick a drill after watching a few hits on his force plate and give me a new feeling. Have the Infinity system to explore over the winter... perhaps next year close some of the vast gap between 4-6 and 0 index.
I'll be doing another live webinar in the members area of the GRF Golf website. I can discuss this. The rotation about the shaft actually facilitates less flip into impact (early lead wrist extension) as the body motion sequencing optimises 👍
This is the area I am currently chasing my tail in going in circles really, I love the toe deep divot drill but my issue is at impact my club face is any where between 1.5 to 5.4 degrees closed with a further 14 to 20 something degrees of draw spin creating big hooks left or low hooks..I understand that I need to swing the tip of the handle out to the right on my down swing which does drastically reduce my closed face at impact and even some time gives me 1.5 to 5.0 degrees open which reduces my draw spin dramatically and can give me a ball starting right of the target line and gently drawing back onto the target line, I’m struggling to consistently achieve this and I know that my body rotating isn’t functioning in a helpful way to delay the release, leading to lots of unwanted flipping to square the face and I know instantly when I hit one that it’s hooking left before my simulator confirms it.. I would love to believe a simple lesson with you,s guys would fix my issues
It's an earlier rotation i.e. lead wrist supination/flexion. Just my opinion but the standard 'L to L' doesn't really attune the player to the actual motions of the wrists and forearms and the timing of execution, it all happens at flash speed at the bottom of the arc.
@@heydeereman1040 There are some good internet articles that discuss driver length as it applies to golfer height and arm length. My golfing partner and I are 5’6” and 5’5”. I have a 6’ reach. The articles indicated we should be using 43” driver shafts instead of the 45.5” that we were using. My partner had the same issue in that he hit all clubs well except slicing the driver. We marked our club shafts at 43” and placed our hands slightly lower as you would if the driver shaft was actually 43”. His slice went away instantly, my accuracy improved immediately. Both of us experienced no appreciable loss of distance. It felt like my club head speed increased.
Ball position.... if it's too far forward you're always going to swing left ... The ball should be in line with your left armpit..... Also try swing right and close the face like marcus's says in the video
@@darrenbyrne5345 I get all that. Just doesn't really explain why I only do it in random rounds and only slice driver and draw a 3 wood on back to back shots
Are you going to publish the next video on using the body? Would love to see it!
Superb simple explanation of the club action, thanks Markus.
You can clearly sense how the lag should work...awesome!

Thanks Marc, really appreciate it. Hope you're well. Btw your GRFi Training System is on it's way tomorrow 👍

Nice ! 👍 Still watching my lesson recording Marcus and keeping this centre of my game!
Awesome, keep up the great work 👍
So good!!! Thank you
Glad you like it, thanks 👍
the best explanation yuve ever given re, those concepts! !!
Thanks Lee 👍
This explains a lot of why I hit to many heavy shots.Great information and look forward to the next video.
Glad it was helpful!
You’re basically creating a whip with the golf club-- thanks great teaching
Absolutely 👍

Flail happens generally in change of direction 👍

My exact problem. Open club face causes my body to stall and flip at the ball at impact.

Pivot action of the body creates what you're talking about 👍
How much difference is the “L to L” drill?
It's an earlier rotation i.e. lead wrist supination/flexion. Just my opinion but the standard 'L to L' doesn't really attune the player to the actual motions of the wrists and forearms and the timing of execution, it all happens at flash speed at the bottom of the arc.
That was the old way of swinging a club when they used wooden shafts. Cool concept
Thanks, hope it helps 👍
I have the issue where some rounds I slice the driver every time and yet I hit a draw with all the irons and 3 wood. It has me completely confused.
How tall are you ?
