I hope Bae wasn't actually hurt by it. I enjoy the spooky ghosty games, even though they don't scare me much (apart from jumpscares cause jumpscare). I like the atmospheric horror like Amnesia:TDD, but I'll never turn down Rat and Kirin screams no matter what scares them xD

Just the first game of the spooky month was alredeady a complete wild ride. Congrats Bae and Fauna! Despite both predictions the two survived! (except their sanity) Both were the bravest rat and mother Nature the game is scary fr so theres no shame at all stopping where you did. Thanks for the collab and hope maybe we get revenge on this game someday. 💚🐀

On today's first episode of Bae and Fauna's Month of Horrors, we learn that Shiny Smily Story is a good way to fight against jump scares, maybe? This is considered cheating by some, but my opinion are Bae and Fauna (and Mr. Squeaks I suppose ) did great regardless on any violation of rules on playing scary games. And maybe you didn't finish the game but well yeah, once characters start talking to the pause menu it's time to call it quits. ❤💚
And on the topic of losing sanity permissions, does anybody in this world really have sanity perms to begin with?

I particularly like Fauna being based right at the end when talking about haunting and calling out the "warning" of the game... Although I think that text is (probably) meant just a little bit of extra immersion.

I think Bae might have been playing for the wrong team here. She was like the hype girl but for the demon the whole time You might have finished the solo course of handling scary courses, but handling scary games with Bae's presence is an advanced course
I hope the rest of the month isn't so heavy on needing to call it quits. It's hard to enjoy it if you're not enjoying it
Having an emotional support Rat is perhaps... Not quite so effective when said Rat is actually MORE scared than you are!
Yeah Fauna might have faired better if she was going solo but at the same time, Fauna siked herself too much by overpreparing and knowing about the jumpscares and how scared people get playing the game. I could tell she was already nervous before the game even started. Her resting heart rate was in the 100's.
Bae did way more emotional damage than emotional support. I rewatched some parts of Magni's (HolostarsEN) playthrough where Vesper jumped in as a support and I have to say, that it's night and day. Magni was really scared but focused on the work and Vesper talked really calm to him and joked around when he sensed that Magni was too scared. I think Bae just psyched herself out with her imagination of how bad a scare would be, and at that point it doesn't matter if the game is scary or not (they didn't even see the really scary parts) because it's all in her head.
Fauna's take on the paranormal is pretty much how dads in horror flicks think. Fauna is a horror movie dad confirmed.
What an amazing way to kick off your Month of Horrors with Bae, 10/10 stream! This game was a lot of fun to watch with the two of you supporting each other plus emotional support pumpkin Mark backup. Despite abandoning the game, the courage both of you showed facing these scares is inspirational in and of itself. When I saw you were going to have a heartrate monitor on for today's stream I started to have Metric's "Help I'm Alive" play in my head since "heart beating like a hammer" is a frequent lyric in that song. .

Just an idea; how about bring along another holomem who's immune to horror games? It helped Lamy when she played horror games with Botan and Anya, and Magni almost quit 10 minutes into this game until Vesper joined in VC

Congrats on making it so far into the game! I was a bit scared to watch the stream but in the end I wasn't scared at all I was too busy laughing It would be nice to see them finish the game, but whatever suit them is fine I love this rat-kirin duo, this month of horror is going to be so good!
To tack onto Fauna on paranormal;
1. Like the warning says, in "heighten emotional state you can experience haunting." Yes game, we call that adrenaline. You get terrified by X, you jump at shadows, and hear things louder as now your in fight or flight mode.
2. If anyone is experiencing paranormal activity; first off *Always go to a doctor first* get checked up and make sure its not something more tangible. And if you still want closure or more security, then go to a church and or paranormal teams if you wish.
But always check with doctor, just to ensure its not gas leak, something happening with the brain, and or more, as there is a long list.
And this is coming from someone that likes to think ghost are real.
You two were both really brave, this stream! I got spooked just watching Gura play this game.

Fauna and Bae need to play Alien: Isolation for one of these streams. That would be some absolute peak content. For that matter, the two of them doing a watch along of Alien 1-3 would be great.
Right from the start there was the question of "Who's idea was this anyway?" I knew it would spiral downward into madness from that point.
I knew this was going to be a really fun experience. You both have hiliarious reactions when getting scared, it helps me because I am also getting just as terrified lol. The sad thing is, I watched a play through of this game before but I was still just as scared as the both of you.
Don't worry about not having played the game as much as some people wanted! It wouldn't be fun if you forced yourself to be unhappy this is still for fun at the end of the day.💖

I honestly kept my eyes at the level of the heartmonitors because I get way too scared for my own good, You girls did great! 162 PB is insane Faunya!
I knew there was no way they'd finish the night for this lol. This game is pretty good at being scary without just throwing jump scares at you. And it keeps up the creepy atmosphere and sense of urgency even when nothing is going on. Good job getting as far as you did though!

think the biggest scare for Bae was around 8:39 when Fau spilled the coffee. Coffee is life and love, praise the beans, waste nothing!
You did good Fauna! Since Bae brought it up though I'll say this much: my greatest fear is [outer] space, specifically floating in the vacuum of space without anything to keep me tethered safely, because at that point all you can do is drift until you die. Not sure when I realized that specific fear but when playing Prey (2017) I ended up finding myself in a segment where I had to go out into space and float out to something very, very far out and it had me somewhat panicked for once but really I just had to get used to it. As far as this game being scarier than Outlast I can't judge; I've seen Outlast multiple times through as well as the DLC but I can't say the same for this game. I'd say Outlast has a better mix of elements to its horror while nothing in this really fazed me.

Spooktober begins, and we've already reached the tipping point of fear. When I was a kid, a family member used to spray "anti monster spray" on my closet and bed before I slept to keep the monsters away. Perhaps we, as chat, can conduct a chant to ward off the scary game vibes.
Also, this game does scares very very well. No loud noises, no forced camera focusing (outside of cutscene scares). It relies on you to notice them, and that makes it all the scarier.
It's okay, don't feel too bad about it, you guys did great already.
I rember someone else chant literal prayers while playing this game scared to death.

heart rate isn't necessarily the best indicator of being scared, Fauna is still laughing through that and when Bae is scared out of her mind her heart rate doesn't go very high, people's physiology is different and she's likely done more sports so even with an adrenaline spike the heart muscle doesn't need to work as hard
