Here are some important points about this video:
The first step was creating the mesh of a circle with HyperMesh. I know, I don't use Hypermesh and you can just skip this step. But if you compare the circles descritized with HyperMesh and LS-Prepost, you can see that HyperMesh does a better butterfly mesh.
How to create a transition mesh when you have a square with a circle inside.
How to create a biased mesh for the soil
How to apply self-weight and dead-load
How to model a simple contact between the soil and the structure (in different applications, different method might be needed)
MOHR_COULOMB model was used for the soil, which is one of the very basic soil material models. If you have dynamic and non-linear behavior, you might want to consider a different material model.
Since the expected displacement is small, DYNAMIC RELAXATION was used to initialize the load. Another method is to use IMPLICIT time integration. If the displacement in the soil is large (for example: simulation of pile driving in soil or simulation of soil dynamic replacement/compaction), then you need to use EXPLICIT time integration.
How to visualize the stress and displacement in post-processing

Great video sir! Can you please tell me how to rotate (change) the elements' direction towards the blast for a blast analysis of a slab or a beam? Also can you please tell me how to obtain the reflected pressure vs time curve as an output for a blast analysis? Can we directly get that output from ls-dyna?

@@ASMRJigsawJoy under the element edit tools, you have the normal tool. With this tool you can change the normal of the shell elements
I believe you are doing blast analysis with LOAD BLAST ENHANCED.

@@AmeenTopa Thank you for the reply sir. Yes, I am using LBE. Can I change the solid elements' direction using reverse normal tool? Can't we use the element edit

@@ASMRJigsawJoy I think you are asking about the element normal, not element directions, these two are different things. To change the normal, you have the Normal Tool under Element Tools.
Go get the overpressure, you must define a specific DATABASE BINARY which will create binary files. Check this reference for more details:

@@ASMRJigsawJoy if you are talking about solid elements, then the normal direction does not matter with LBE. If you are having a warning when you run the model, then it means the solid element segments are not facing the blast source..
For example, you have a wall made of solid elements and you set the blast point in front of the wall. If you define the segment set from the back of the wall and use it in LBE, then you will get that warning.
