Wow, didn't know that Europe even had HOV lanes. I thought it was only a US/Canada thing.

There are very few HOV lanes in Europe. Spain has only two, the one on C-58 and a reversible facility on A-6 near Madrid. Also, one inbound lane on C-31 in Badalona has been restriped to be an HOV lane, but this one is not grade-separated.

Great drive! I get the so-called vignette, a sticker where you have to put in windshield to pay certain time on the motorway. Why is this a thing in Europe? The vignette is not used anywhere else outside Europe including Asia where majorly of them are just toll road.

Hi Ben, most central European countries use vignettes to fund roads partly because of the high amount of transit traffic they have.
