I tried it and went 3rd, 2nd. Dont try to force the main combo i had to play lee sin both times because i didnt get galio.

Impossible almost. Heavenly Rapper or Ghost Rapper always appear in matchmaking
If you're lucky you can have a Kayn game uncontested, i hit 3 star Kayn 5 times this week because everyone else playing ashe flex
if you see a lot of rageblade slammer, play kayn
i had one game uncontested kayn 3* since i highrolled heavenly early. half the lobby went porcelain

Lots in the comments are saying its underwhelming and I assure you that while it wont perform as good as an Ashe/Kaisa comp it is still good. If you arent doing well with it, you are likely forcing it, or not itemizing properly.

how are you getting meta tft to show up? mine works like 1 in every couple of games
Is your positioning explanation towards Sylas correct? So far every time I've placed him ANYWHERE near where you say he'll dash through what he kills then will pivot to the backline he always instead ventures to the middle then gets focused down.
I just 3-starred my Sylas in one of my games and won against 3-star Heavenly Kayn. It was crazy how he dumpstered all the other players’ backline while dashing around. 😂
Had the same thing but my sylas had lost against the kayne, sad, but sylas 3 is great with a healing item, he basically solos the whole enemy team
@@akumathegreat2554 He is a bit RNG with his dash pathing. But the Kayn player main-carried a Titan’s, HoJ, GS Lee Sin before he hit 3-star Kayn holding Sterak’s, Diamond Hands and HoJ. Not sure why he didn’t swap items over.
And I was main carrying Ashe and Lilia but ending up hitting Sylas with Titan’s, BT and Bramble. It was a hilarious battle of 3-star 4-costs holding leftover items.😂

Frodan can you give tips on pivoting especially with comps being contested? The non reroll ones
This comp is basically a version of flex around the core zyra, riven, galio, morg. Like in the video, there are other traits that you can felx into. If for some reason you are really contested (maybe 2 or more other ppl), then scout around and see if you can hit (see if anyone hits early or you hit early) if you dont, i would try to save econ and play stable board and go 9 and tey to put sylas items around rakan (maybe even udyr if you 2star him first)

Pivoting generally relies on scouting and building flexible items. Try not to build unit specific items early/mid unless you know your spot is good for a specific unit/comp. E.g. Rageblade only works in 2 of the meta AD comps rn (Ashe and Aphelios) whilst an item like IE works in all of the meta AD comps.
Hardest part about pivoting is during roll down turns when you don't hit the units you want and have to pivot to something else. To be honest, this is probably the hardest thing to do well in the whole game, especially in a single turn. Knowing lots of possible lines and outs really helps. This patch is very flexible, so you want to be placing clusters of units on your board that work together instead of focusing on just one specific structure of a comp. E.g. Lissandra, Amumu, and Illaoi work together really well with all their traits linking

One comp I'm finding not contested is the sylas trickshot comp which u can include inkshadows if it's a good tome for kaisa..and a few sages. Sylas, riven, galio, zyra, morgana, xayah, ka'isa, aatrox, and an udyr. 4 bruiser, 3 story, 3 ink, 2 sages. You can start it with a senna volibear bruiser comp that is really hard to beat with reksai holding sylas items

I have had a game 4 trickshots, 4 bruisers with Sylas 3* and Galio 3* Bis items yet I still lost to a singlehandedly carry Kayn 3*. I don't know. But I do like Sylas as a carry, regardless

the website updated and sylas is in 2nd row, which one is it?
You go second or first row sylas if you want him to be tankier since he gets a lot of omnivamp. You go third row sylas if you want him to do a lot more damage because then he will get a lot of AP. The sage trait is flexible and will accommodate either.
If you have a lot of tank items its recommended to put him in the front, if you have a lot of damage items and sylas is squishier, its recommended to put him in the third row.
It also depends on your needs - if your current frontline is weak, you probably want your sylas to survive longer. If your current frontline is already very thick and you need more damage, then give sylas AP.

Had a game with Altruist Ghostly Umbral wandering Trainer,thought it was an 8th for how bad it looks and Sylas saved me

why are like all challanger players ignoring dmg reduction that diana provides for nearby allies? i can't convince myself that this is worth it... *well, Frodan was utilizing it, but i see other big players like Dishsoap completely ignoring this part of her ability (for i imagine better positioning?)
Lol I played this exact board in a norm like 2 weeks ago and was like eh that was funny
3* 4 costs aren’t even high-roll this set. With exalted u can fast 8/9/10 pretty easy and then just pick augments that also help. Reinfourced, venerable, pristicket, clear/cluttered mind, new recruit etc etc. Not to mention khazix (xp), trist (gold) and free rolls encounters. And then there’s hwei that just gives you the unit you want. There’s 3* 4 costs in about 80% of my games…
i like diana as a carry if i can't hit sylas put like rageblade, titans, archangel on diana but if i hit sylas he carries so hard.

Yeah, there are like alot of different combinations bc it would be to crazy sometimes if exalted rolled on, lets say, Teemo, Kobuko and Tristana or something like that. You can google which combination is possible

lol just played a game at diamond and 3 people were trying to force this build, they all went bot 4
if there is sylas/sage units in exalted i would hard force this but otherwise not as crazy as some say IMO
fr like i tested 2 games with this comp, hit all the units with good items but still got bot 4 cant compete with ashe/ kayn comps
He's a really good dryad spat holder too. I usually do not force gnar roll down when I get sylas in this spot. You can easily just fit in hwei on your fast 8/9 6 dryad comp instead to finish the 3 star
Just did this and my top 8 exalted streak continues
He's not as good as the top tier comps obviously, but his strength is that his items are flexible and that you hit while everyone in your lobby is contesting the same units and items so you can top 4.
I just run trick shot bruisers and if someone else is contesting Kai'sa it's a free 3* Sylas carry
Ah yes, the 3-star 4-cost tech! Jokes aside, I suppose it's still a decent top 4 team if you have tons of rods.

Been running this since the 4 cost buffs. Not sure about the title as "no one is playing" only works when you don't broadcast it. I gained 480 LP in 48 hours. Guess I'll have to go back to the lab and cook something else no one is playing.

what are you struggling with? basically build sage bruiser dragon lord. sylas items are flexible but in hi elo go qss instead of adaptive helm because of lissandra meta. the tft academy summary of the sylas comp makes it easier to grasp if that helps
Rewatch this video and pause it to understand everything he is saying and you will be 1000x better at the game. He covers a lot of fundamentals.
@@metallicamadsam Mostly Struggling with the when to pivot and no clue at all when he talks about positioning. I tried it and its great he explained it very well but especially at the end I struggle knowing what my end combo is supposed to be when not playing the core units. Am currently gold 3 92lp but rising steadily.
@@emperorsascharoni9577 im currently grandmaster euw, open with story weaver zyra sage. go into sylas morgana bruiser/dragonlord. good augments good items you should easily get d4 :) good luck! roll at stage 4 for morgana /sylas/lee sin. always play strongest board early (aka storyweaver (zyra riven garen).

Kayn 3 is Not that strong according the answer on my Support Ticket.
Had Morgana 3 and Kayn 3 with great items. Lost to kaisa 3 with only nashors and Last whisper.
Answer from Riot: opponent Had xayah 2 which outweighs your kayn 3.
Few Games after that my Ornn 3 and rakan 2 full health got 1v2ed by Chogath 3.
