I don’t watch the NFL I’m a soccer fan being from England but I’ve noticed when on a rare occasions I’ve watched an NFL game the chaos on the side lines is incredible.

Ive working my way of getting better with my photos and camera for Packer photography. I spend good money on first row seats getting good action shots using Canon mirrorless EOS R, Awesome camera. Been using a 200 mm lens that my dad let me use. Been practicing for a few years now. Ive earned my Associates Degree in Graphic Design. I want to pursue to Packer photography and work my way up. I hope there are some way I can show you my work and what I need to improve on. Every time I look through my photos from games or training camp, I always tell myself "I can do better" With the COVID stuff going on I just hope it doesn't hold me back. Hope to hear from you if you have the time. Thanks :)

Peter, who owns the copyright ?, for what if you took some good shots of a player and wanted to sell them on a canvas or as a framed print ?. Do you have to get all team members to sign like a model release or the manager or trainer or per player etc... or is the copyright automatically yours ?. For I was thinking about doing like a college game and be able to have some for sale for parents, families etc... and then try for the more famous football players games and have fans buy prints etc...

Hey Peter! Thank you so much for sharing all the amazing insight! I’m in a weird spot... I’ve been shooting High School sports for around 5 years now and in the process I have built a relationship with an Associate AD at Ole Miss. I have been fortunate enough to get sideline media/photography access. My question now is, how the heck do I capitalize on the access I’ve been given!? I’m really enjoying shooting on the sideline, but I’m just curious if I’m missing out on any opportunities out there. This week will be big as I’m covering LSU at Ole Miss. Thank you again!

Would doing 6 years worth of training camp photos work for a NFL portfolio? I have a degree in Graphic Design of Applied Science. Ive paid to get into football games lucky to get row one seats that ain't cheap. Them are the only opportunities I take when I bring in my Canon Mirrorless EOS R with a Canon 200mm f/2.8. Shots turned out pretty good but I want to do better.

Are you shooting a single point of focus? Are you so good, you shoot on S, timing each shot or do you use High speed, only timing when to start a sequence? Thank you for producing these videos. One day I will make a workshop!

With most sports I shoot on high speed. There are several instances where I think single framing is the way to go. They includ a punch landing in boxing, ball on bat in baseball and ball on racquet in tennis. I usually use four or nine points of focus depending on the sport and what I'm looking for.

Excellent and informative videos! Thank you!
Safe shot time vs going for something unique - do you have a standard plan? Shots of each player vs. high risk/low reward shots? Do you have a plan for times to shoot offense/defense/coaches/fans, etc?

Ideally, you get all the safe shots then go for more risky ones. In reality the course of the event usually dictates the shoot, although you should always have a plan. Who was it that said "no battle plan survives contact with the enemy?"

Helmuth von Moltke Prussian General, 1861 "No plan of operations extends with any certainty beyond the first contact with the main hostile force."

Question for sir. Could you give us some background on your after game process. What software do you use to get your photos to the client. Do you do any editing if so what editing software do you use?
