Chris. Good Vids Bro. I just got a 450 and it cost me less than my 500 did to get it going for performance reasons. See my comments below I left for that gentleman. I have questions for you too but too long winded to ask them here. I’ll call you soon. Merry Christmas. Greg @ A to Zen Trail Tours Pueblo, CO.
How do you feel that the new pds rear supension works in the desert, whoops etc, everyoe raves about linkage in the desert, but I have read the new pds might fair pretty well.
Any updates on the LED light options for the new headlight? Smashed my stock one today, looking for a new one. Any chance youd be able to make them to attach with rubber straps to the forks like the old ones, instead of bolt on?
Hopefully you can provide some guidance. I currently race a 2023 KTM 300 XC - Love it! I'm wanting a dual sport so I don't know whether to go 500 EXC, 500 XW-F or 450 XCF-W. Get the EXC or one of the others and add a dual sport kit. I'd appreciate your input with respect to initial cost vs conversion/performance. Thanks!
Best bang for buck is the 450 XCF--W in our opinion. Depending on what state you live in, might not be best option. 500 in both models need de-smog from what we understand. Best to reach out to @tacomoto. They are doing builds now and likely have more info on all 3 of these models.
I have a 24 450 XCF-W and a 24 500 XW-F. The 450 has a shorter stroke and the 500 has longer stroke. The 500 has more Torque down low and the 450 Revs up quicker. Different engine dynamics/performance characteristics. Both have same wide ratio tranny and run smooth. I removed the intake reeds in the 500, Put in a Vortex ECU, and an FMF Q4 slip on muffler and de-smogged it. The 450 didn’t need all I did to the 500 therefore was way less expensive to modify for our Colorado trails. I’d rather ride the 500 on fire roads and ADR. I’d rather have the 450 for single track and GNCC. Both bikes are good but behave differently. If I could pick one, it would be the 450 cuz it’s less money to invest. Hope you found my opinion helpful. Happy Trails. Greg @ A to Zen Trail Tours.
@@gregharris2928 I bought a 24 450 XCF-W and sold it shortly later. It was too hot to ride in FL in tight trails. Sold it for a 24 300 XC-W and I'm happy. Not as much power as my XC, but perfect for enduro and tight hot trails in FL.
I just picked up a 24' and the dealer had the map switch in stock. Both Maps and TC control work but QS light wont enable! Do you happen to know how the dealer activated it? My dealer said plug and play and doesn't know....
No idea what the dealer did, exactly, just know it is a feature activated with their service computer. It is KTM of Grand Junction, maybe they can help. What/who is your dealer? We are still looking for a map switch
we have not seen a EXC 2024 yet. Unknown. We will update this thread when we can confirm. (if they did not change the XCF-W, odds are good they did not change the EXC
@@MotoMindedLLCHello, just bought this exact same bike and been lurking around your video. Dealer cannot find the same fmf you have, would you have the part number per chance. And does it need ecu update after switching exhaust ?

I apologize if you already mentioned this. Does this model have the new XACT fork or a carryover XPLOR? Thanks. Great looking bike.
XACT closed chamber forks. They are excellent.
Patiently waiting…
for your 450?

Does the stick gauge cluster tell you your speed? MPH? Thanks!
Yes, same ODO / Speedo on the 2017-24 Enduro bikes.

Per the manual. Very little difference from the 2017-23 bikes
