@@alessiocece2098depended on the game for what you got. Streetpass was something integrated in the 3DS. You could put it in sleep mode, walk by somebody else with their 3DS also in sleep mode, and you would get a streetpass.
I’ve actually StreetPassed around 10 people at my community college this year. I also ended up starting a StreetPass group there as well, and it’s been a success so far!
This may surprise you, but I only managed to streetpass 2 people throughout the 4 Days at PAX East of this year. Probably won't have much luck there either in the future.
I gotta say, I was just on Vacation at Wisconsin Dells which is a huge tourist attraction, the first thing that happened was when I got there, two coach buses with a bunch of hockey playing teens flooded the hallways all playing on their Switch systems, and immediately I just felt this wave of nostalgia from being a kid on vacation with the 3DS and meeting so many streetpass friends. I just hope in the future we get something like streetpass that makes that magic return.
I'd love if they brought it back with the next console! I also have tons of good memories playing on 3DS with all my friends back then. Literally took them everywhere: trips to the lake, hanging out at friends' houses after school, playing all day everyday with my sister. Man, that was so fun 😅
There aren't enough people where I live, I only get streetpasses when I go to conventions or sometimes visiting gaming stores in a big city. had to pick up a second 3ds just so that I could progress lol Also I agree, bring back themes and folders!
We still play the 3DS in our family. When we get together we have 11 3DSes and get the street pass tags weekly. Though it would be nice to see other people not just family.
I have 1 of those Nintnedo Hanafuda for myself. There are Mario versions (just like in Club House Games!). I really wish there were Zelda versions as well, Id love those Quick fact tho...Hanafuda is the name of the cards & not the game you can play in Club House Games. Hanafuda are like playing cards where there are several different games you can play using them. "Hana" means "flower" & "fuda" can mean card & other things but for this context "hanafuda" means "flower cards" which makes a lot of sense. Where American playing cards have 4 suits with 13 cards, Hanafuda have 12 "suits" with 4 cards. Each suit is a different month of the year & I believe the different flowers for each suit are of plants that grow during those months but Im not too sure on that The game feature in Club House Games is one of the more popular games played with Hanafuda called Koi Koi (this is not so much a word but a verbal expression akin to aggressively saying "C'mon!!" to an opponent....at least that's how it seems to me whenever I see it used). I never knew anything about these cards or the game until I watched the anime movie "Summer Wars". They played the game quite a few times & it looked really interesting so I bought my deck of Hanafuda off Amazon & taught myself how to play. Alright thats enough from me.....guess this wasnt really a quick fact lol thanks for the great video!
I work all around the bay area and I take my 3DS with me most of the time. Always happy when I do get a street pass. Also I'd like to recommend if you're ever in Millbrae, try out Uni Souffle for a lovely Japanese souffle pancake.
I bought one of those Hanafuda sets from a different Mitsuwa and have aspirations of learning how to play too! I've read/watched the rules a few times and still just can't wrap my head around it! Someday, we'll all learn how to play!
I tried the same when I went to watch the Super Mario Bros Movie around here... and nothing. But anyways, I liked this video. It's really fun to see you guys hanging around some places, especially when you go to video game stores and stuff.
I’d love Street Pass to come back and have a street pass badge on players you met and play against in Mario Kart, Smash, etc. I may be the odd one out on this but I’d get excited to see that person and I’d maybe a little more competitive haha
Oh...to be honest I thought they were going to score at least one streetpass this year but I guess not but all is not lost we're just going to have to wait until next year unless the Nintendo switch gets the StreetPass function See you guys in 2024!
I wish I was there and hopes to get streetpasses from you Kit and Krysta! I love streetpass and hope to find more as I only got 1 new streetpass this year. I’m about to hit 9,000 streetpass tags due to the same 2DSes I streetpass from my brother’s and sister’s 2DSes.
Love these videos as an excuse to check out cool shops around your area - wish we had more of this kinda thing out here in the midwest. Also really hope whatever the Switch sequel is has StreetPass!
People want themes and folders, but nobody was really clamoring for Street/SpotPass for Switch. I was going to set up a clone Spot for Passing, but then they announced it's death.
Also these vlogs are so cool! Big fan of your work. Next to that... I am curious, have you guys ever considered getting into game reviews? I feel like you two might be able to deliver a fresh angle on the whole approach to putting a number rating on a game. Just a thought, but please keep it up!
For Switch 2, they should have a StreetPass phone app. It’s the only way it’ll work. You could justify the team making it by saying it’s a way to keep people checking their Switch more often.
Even without a successful street pass it's still fun to see different locations and the cool stuff you guys find
I know it’s definitely not gonna happen, however I am PRAYING streetpass comes back with the next Nintendo product
What exactly was streetpass? What did you get for it?

The sheer force of that "WHERE IS IT, TREEHOUSE?!" from Krysta is so awesome.
Also, the end of the mall segment.(Crane Fever flashbacks)
Y’all are too cute glad to see you guys keep street pass alive and well ❤
Fun, laid back vid.
1:11 I love these shots because it's funny to think about how they had to go back to grab the camera again

Idea for 2024, commit to carrying and charging your 3DS for the whole year, then do regular check ins every couple of months?
There aren't enough people where I live, I only get streetpasses when I go to conventions or sometimes visiting gaming stores in a big city. had to pick up a second 3ds just so that I could progress lol
Also I agree, bring back themes and folders!
I have gotten at least 6 streetpasses last month in 2024 and I live in Idaho!
We still play the 3DS in our family. When we get together we have 11 3DSes and get the street pass tags weekly. Though it would be nice to see other people not just family.

I randomly got a Street Pass at my local mall in SoCal. That particular mall is literally on its last legs too, so I was shocked! 😳
I used to goto Streetpass San Diego years ago, but they havent brought it back since covid..
I actually have a Nintendo employee or 2 as Streetpass guest, from the wild, which is wild!
Owww guys I just want to go to San Fransico and street pass you so you can be happy!
Another place you can try in the city is Stonestown Galleria. High schoolers hangout there after class.
I work all around the bay area and I take my 3DS with me most of the time. Always happy when I do get a street pass.
Also I'd like to recommend if you're ever in Millbrae, try out Uni Souffle for a lovely Japanese souffle pancake.
Thank you for trying to keep the dream alive.

I'd love to see more streetpass videos! Don't give up! If anything, it's a great excuse to get out and visit cool places. Really enjoyed the video :)

StreetPass was awesome, taking it to conventions. Good times!
“People miss themes”, 100%. I loved randomizing the themes so every time I signed on it shuffled to a different one, neat feature.
For what it's worth, I did actually get a street pass a couple week ago walking through the Las Vegas airport
I’d love Street Pass to come back and have a street pass badge on players you met and play against in Mario Kart, Smash, etc. I may be the odd one out on this but I’d get excited to see that person and I’d maybe a little more competitive haha
I LOVE Kit and Krysta vlogs!! ❤❤
Having also learned hanafuda from Clubhouse Games and since bought a couple of decks, I'd love to see you do a hanafuda video.
Great video guys
I miss Streetpass...
Probably the main thing that made the Nintendo 3DS entertaining and awesome❤
you need to try it during the weekend when it's really crowded. Thanksgiving break is coming and that would make chances being much higher.
So cool to see you guys go to locations in your area. Hope you tried the mochi donuts in Japan Town, those are super delicious!
The way I clicked so fast on this video, I’ve been excited for this one!!
Oh...to be honest I thought they were going to score at least one streetpass this year but I guess not but all is not lost we're just going to have to wait until next year unless the Nintendo switch gets the StreetPass function
See you guys in 2024!
These days your best bet is to go to a retro gaming convention. DragonCon was always a goldmine for new leaf streetpasses and I imagine it still is.
I went to a concention this weekend and was able to streetpass 12 times!
Should have came to my StreetPass panel. I'm going to see if I can do another for pax east next year.

Next time go to “on the bridge” that is the best restaurant in Japan town. 🤤
I hope they bring back street pass for the switch 2
Aww harufuda live that card game the designs are so pretty
I love Tonkotsu Ramen with extra Chashu :) but am down for most anything curry as well!
Out of all places I actually managed to get a streetpass at an ikea earlier this year. It was a wonderful moment
I really hope they bring back street pass in someway 😢
One of these days there should be a kit and Krysta event where the kit and Krysta community comes together for a streetpass event.
Would yall bring this back
I've never owned a 3ds. I'd love the next console to have street pass!
Wahhh. The 3DS and street pass make me so nostalgic and sad. I wiiish the Switch had quirks like the 3DS. 😢
You should just do this at conventions. You say there’s no thrills but I’m actually curious if you would get street passes there.
Maybe bring your 3DS when you do panels, if you haven't already? I can dust of my 3DS and bring it, so you will get a hit.
i will forever love my 3ds we need to bring it back
Fun fact: John Riggs actually takes his 3DS to game shows all the time to get Street Passes. :D
Try residential areas and universities maybe
Ask Chuggaaconroy!
Shut the door! A StreetPass video w/o Zion from NintendoLife?! =:U hehe
I hope the Switch 2 has something like streetpass
Imagine if the switch had streetpass?
I would love to trigger one of these, but I stopped taking my 3DS with me since it's battery died. (Now I only play it attached to its rope...)
Yes NINTENDO! We know you sometimes watch! Bring Back Street Pass and Street Pass games! lol 🤣😭
Any StreetPasses at the new office? lol
RIP i was just thier we could have street passed
STREETPASS MENTIONED
Maybe can go TGS, higher chance .
