Thank you for the documentary! it reminds me of my mom/grandma and hometown's life. No matter how far I traveled I always have to go back whenever I can, a special place with very special people.
This is how hard people had to work to support their families.. young people, today just want to take, take take. They don't want to earn a living.... lazy millennials...‼‼ Beautiful documentary.....♥️♥️♥️🇺🇸
A wonderful record of a disappearing tradition. The English sub-titles could use a few corrections. Those are all mules, not horses. And "Mount Mary" is sacred Kawa Karpo, which is called Meili in Chinese.
Actually the korean commentator says horse in korean: "Mal' which is a borrowed word from the chinese also for horse. There is a different word for mule 'Nosae' but they're not using it. They must have some reason even though those beautiful animals are mules.
Barter is the best way of business, I think. Swapping things both parties need. It won't work in the so-called civilised world, of course, where capitalism is the king and we are the silent mules.

I did a three-month fieldwork in tibet at 2016. Compared with the situation in the documentary, their lives improved a lot.

Beautiful documentary. Koreans understand China the most. And this documentary shows.
@Fletcher Brown because it is a Korean that told the story.
This is not a documentary about China but the Tibetan people.

the Chinese subtitle for MA GUO TOU should be 马锅头 (a profession), not 马国途(a name)
